I've seen those out and about and I love them! They look really good!
Garden Photos #12
I wanted to put the crazy colors in front .. but god help me if I can find a level spot .. sheesh..
RD the candy is nice!!!
Robin it could be...it looks like Flutterbye but much lighter than in my garden. Mine is in dappled sun under a tree so it would be darker.

Yes, that's it....thanks, Pixie....it's a keeper!
Can't keep up with garden, journal, photographing and house guests, along with article writing and pottery to view all the great posts on DG and comment on them, let alone post much. Sorry, but I am loving some of these shots on here like Wha's Bird house which is stunning as is his Japanese Iris. Polly may have secretly planted it if she was ever there. Olallie DL by Robindog is one that I would love. I go to see them often, as they are 2 miles from my Vt house. Celeste's early blooming toad lily is a must have in my future as is her ensata Darling and a couple more of her DL's.
I had to rush about yesterday to get house ready for a batch of house guests. I had hoped they would like to weed, but they chose the beach over weeding. Here are some shots, not labelled yet. Another friend arriving tomorrow for the week, so we have a house full. Fun group. Patti
mellow yellow is awesome!
Got distracted as an editor of the local paper that publishes my garden articles just called to say they had mistakenly published my latest article with another persons name as the contributor. Oops, Pretty funny, but annoying too. I can't imagine how they changed the byline as it was in the title of the article. I will get a retraction next week, but no glory. My mom will be annoyed as she likes reading them and doing a show and tell with all her pals at dinner. At 96 she is still a typical Mom. "Look what my kid did! "
Here is a hydrangea doing a lot of different bloom colors at once. Kind of cool. Patti
Absolutely stunning, as always Patti!! Is that Shirazz in the first pic, bottom left?
love it Patti!!
Those lilies are awesome, Patti....love Patricia's Pride......sorry that BuggyCrazy no longer sells the lilies....also love that rose. Guess I can't blame the house guests for choosing the beach! Jen, nice photo of the butterfly.....hoping my butterfly bush flowers soon.....
love the peachy group Patti.. nice shot Jen... hope mine blooms soon too.. only see one now and then
Beautiful Patti!!! Love the lilies!!!!!!!!!!
Spotted bellflower-Campanula punctata. It's a stowaway that I found among my layovers from last summer. I got it at my June plant sale last year, but it was just leaves. No tag, don't think that there ever was one. Somebody told me probably and I being a conscientious and very neat gardener, promptly forgot. I was out the other day snapping pics of my daylilies that are starting to bloom and I found it. It had one flower stalk but there appear to be three plants in the pot, the flowering one, and two smaller. It is getting planted in this weekend. I hope it makes it in the ground for next summer.
Martha
I think they're pretty hardy, Martha....
posting mine again to bump the thread up to the top of the list

Be careful with the campanula punctata, I think they're very invasive. I bought Cherry Bells this spring but kept it in a pot after I read what people wrote about it in plant files!
