Have any of you had any problems with critters eating your MG seedlings? I have planted MG seeds 2x already....they sprout, come up and then a few days later they are gone. Not wilted....M.I.A., today I found the leaf of one on the ground the stem had been chewed!!

Love all your blooms Helena. Your China Doll is a beauty. Mine didn't even
sprout this yr.

Pixie I'm so glad I don't have that problem. It's about the only one I don't
have, lolol. Try sprinkling some hot pepper around the seedlings on the ground and some on the lvs too, just something to try.

Helena,
Could you tell us more about the flower and seed, post 8673351above, that you attribute to Azuremore? It is very attractive.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie.

Doug, I got my seeds on ebay last year in Nov. It was a set of 5 different blooms each packet with ten seeds. The picture on the packet is of a deep blue rayed bloom but it also showed a picture of other type of bloom from the same vine. I sowed 2 vines and got these blooms so it probably crossed. The vine grows to about 8 ft. it has a few seed pods now. I can save you a seed pod if you like. I check out what he is selling now and the packet has a few different blooms from when I bought it. I will try to sow 2 more seeds from him in a couple of weeks to see what I get. The bloom is consistent and I'm not disappointed. All my blooms are open pollinated also.

I'm not disappointed with this huge bloom from H no H, only cause I didn't check if it's Hama no Haru or Haru no Hikari!

Helena, Your blooms are all wonderful but partial to the huge pink bloom and your color block,
they're beautiful

Helena - This bloom is beautiful! I can tell just by the photo that it is a large bloom! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=8680066 I like those light lav-plum blooms, too! And those tie-dyes are to die for! Looking at all your blooms is a feast for the eyes!

Jackie - Your Pandy would sure make me happy! :-) How's the other MG vines doing? Have you used any Bloom Booster on them yet?

I've been getting a lot of rain here. Some of my vines are loving it and some aren't. Location may be the issue.

Here's a new blooming vine. I've missed a number of blooms on this new vine. I can't see the label because it's so close to the rose bush. LOL! It's parked out front and I keep forgetting about it. It is in an area where it may be getting too much water from the rain run-off. May have to move it, but not sure where to. The mosquitos are horrendous right now because of all the rain. I feel like I need to wear pants and long sleeve shirt outside to keep from getting eaten alive.

I have an off-topic question and may have to post this question on a different forum ...

Do frogs eat fish? I have those horrible cuban tree frogs everywhere here. I have small fish in my two small ponds and it appears the fish are disappearing. Not sure what else would eat them. The fish are too small for the water fowl birds to see or eat.

Helena - Love the little bee butt photo! Too cute!

Here are few blooms from my same outdoor vines. I'm really not growing that many I. nils outside this year. They just don't do well because of rust fungus. With the rainy season now, it's even worse. The Hige I. purpureas are doing great! They love the rain water. I swear those vines love the acid in the rain. I need to try an experiment with fertilizer. Maybe try a more acidic fertilizer or compost with them.

Blue-purple speckled bloom.

Gorgeous blooms Becky, I love the bloom with the red purple star.
Your new blooming vine.is pretty.
Today I had a Rabenda x Pres Bush open and I missed it until too late to take a pic.
I haven't used any bloom booster yet but may have too. Lots of the vines have buds,
just taking a long time for the buds to ripen

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie and Becky. Yeah, that bee just came at the right time to show me that it's trying it's best tp pollinate the blooms!

Becky, what a show! I love all your blooms, gorgeous all of them!!

Here's one for you!!

Thanks Helena. One reason I love the Youjiro Yaguruma so much is that it blooms first, a great bloomer..
It doesn't waste any time, wish they all bloomed like this one.

I love these blooms.

The Sazanami doesn't appear that it will morph any further. I think this is the blooms now and until it dies. But it is a nice large, beautiful blue slightly blizzard bloom! It really contrasts with the Mauve Splash blooms! LOL!

Thanks Helena and Becky.
Helena, pretty blooms esp the white with lite pink stripes. I love the bloom you got from my sds and the one from Karens sds which looks a lot like my Weird Saz, no wonder, my sds came from Karen 05 too. :-)

Becky, I love the Ao Youjiro Blizzard, it's spectacular, very special. Beautiful large pink
Love your Saz even if it doesn't morph again, its just a gorgeous bloom.
My Pink Silk is deformed. I don't care I love the color. A few of mine start out like this every yr.

Jackie - Awesome blooms!!! Does your Pink Silk have heart-shaped leaves? That was the other special thing I noticed about the one I grew last year. My seeds came from Dany, so you can thank him, too! :-)

(Doug) Murfreesboro, TN

This is Criss Cross, as named by the seller. It has bloomed early and regularly for me. Every blossom is very similar to this one.

Becky, I was so excited to have blooms. I forgot to give you credit. I love the Pink Silk you shared and of course, the Lav Beauty came out of sds you shared with me originally. Thanks to Dany too for
making Pink Silk possible. I will check the shape of the lvs tomorrow, 102 here today and we're in for
another scorcher tomorrow.
