Charlene
Looking good, they do look like Kids Trick or Treating with sheets don't they, it didn't frost here last night, tonight our low temp will be 37 then
it gets better until next week, I sure am glad I got a bunch in the basement, now I have about 18 yet to dig, think by Monday I'll be done
Dee
do you have yours covered? I am sure we have the same weather pattern, oh I got my Gold Flame today, well Ladies have a great evening
Elizabeth
my Brugs are growing nicely
yes, Elizabeth, I have the ones that are still in the ground covered.
well I started digging more Brugs today, my GH is full, also the back porch & a lot of them are already in the basement, I do have to spend a couple hours down there, getting everything arranged, set up nicely, I have a bunch of Lava rocks to put around the dirt to keep Sepi & Princess the cat from using my pots as a litter box, also to plug up the drainage hole so the dirt don't go all over the place when I water the newly potted, dug up Brugs, I hope everyone had a nice week end
Elizabeth
Elizabeth I hope you checked them good, I am sure you did,I only have 5 and I checked them but yesturday I saw this very fine web, and yep they were infected, I ended up taking every leaf off and sprying the stems with soapy water, they look clean this morning.
Doris
I am going to spray all of them with Neem Oil, Yes I will be checking them really well, I usually have a few of the webs after they have been in the Basement for a couple months, so I will be getting a lot of the leaves off before I spray, the things we go through for these Beauty's.
before this week end I have to have all of the rest of them dug up, but tommorrow & Wednesday it will be nice so I am having a Garage Sale
both days, I do have 2 GD's to help me with it, it should be fun, then Thursday I will be working outside most of the day
I am glad you have yours inside, have a great evening
Elizabeth
Good morning, everyone. We are supposed to have a high of 75 today...what a wonderful day for finishing up fall chores in the yard! Enjoy, everyone!
Do any of you ladies have any epi cuttings to swap, other than the night blooming Queen of the Night?
DeeS
I do, Dee.
GM all. I am sad to lose a Gardening Buddy, but glad her hubby thought to call me and ask me to come over and get the brug and Oleander plants from their place. Esther grew a teeny tiny seedling of bdelphs shooting star x geniveve to a huge tree, and one little start of oleander to a huge shrub. We had to cut them down to the first Y's on all four branches on the brug and about 14 inches left on the oleander. the tops are in a bubble tub with seed pods and buds still on them. hope to see one of the buds of the brug open.
Miss you all,
Debra
Debra, so sorry to hear about your gardening friend.I know she is happy that you are the one that inherited her plants, tho, since you love all plants soooo much!
I will take a look at your wish list and see if I have any plants that you might be interested in and D-mail you.
Dee
Beautiful blooms , I especially love enchanted and hazelnut butterscotch.
Hey all: Debra, so sorry for your loss of a gardening friend. See the pic of the brug bottom you sent me a couple of weeks ago! Yay, new leaves. I just have to turn my back for a week (and make sure things get watered) and Voila! New growth.
Maybe you could name this cross you made in honor of your friend Esther? I'll bet 'Stardancer x pod 2' doesn't do it justice. I'm going to park it for the winter on the warm, south-facing wall of the Garage Mahal, and maybe - just maybe - we'll see blooms by spring if the weather cooperates.
Cheers Elaine
Debra

Elizabeth, what wonderful brugs! I love the colors and would be hard put to say which I like the best. We too are getting the cold weather. I am afraid by morning everything in the gardens will be toast. Unfortunately I can't bring everything inside. grin.
Thanks for the pictures,

by watching this mornings weather report NY is suppose to be getting Snow, I hated to hear that it's way to early for that, I wish we all could have warm climates, Girl after digging NN which is at least 13 ft tall, I was so tempted to take cutting, I have it in a Contractor bag lying on the floor of the basement, were're suppose to get 31 degree temps Sunday night, I did take photo's before I dug them up, you're so very welcome
for the photo's, I will be posting more on a new Thread
Susie
that is a Beautiful photo, it looks like a rainbow, I am sure with your plant house you'll have Blooms when I don't
Elizabeth
Elizabeth, we only had snow in the air but when I got to work today, a much higher elevation, there was at least 2" of snow on the ground and trees.
13 feet tall, oh my! I guess that they can take some abuse. Is that how it will spend the winter?
there is a DBL rainbow if ya look closely
That is beautiful!
Joy
I am glad you didn't get what they had forecast, No NN will be trimmed then potted up, it has to fit between the floor joist, in the Basement
Ladies I have started a new Thread, as this one was getting to long, see you there, have a great Evening
Elizabeth
