Help! Peony trouble

Planted three new peonies this year. All did well until one got black spots & started going downhill. Then another got spots and started going downhill. Is it a mold or fungus? Does anyone have any idea?

Same thing happened to me. The plants loaded up with buds and then very few of them bloomed :(

Could be botrytis or Phytophthora.

Thank you for the link. I believe mine suffer from Phytophthora Blight. I had already decided to replace them is thick patches of foxglove.
