Those lotus are gorgeous!
That's the weird part of the spider mite mystery. That IS the underside of the leaf and I haven't seen any webs on anything. Except very recently, I've seen webs between my cuc leaves. I'm in New Orleans until Monday so no telling what things will look like when i get home...

bariolio, your last photo may show fertilizer burn if there is no webbing. That's the way some of my veggies looked when I was watering them too much.

this is what the heat and drought have done to most of my water gardens. The Lotus are surviving in the mud.

I tried getting out in the mud to dig up a few to replant in another pond that is holding water better than this one. Anybody ever dig lotus from an earthen pond? It is imperative to get the tender tubers and they go to China in the muck.

I got my foot stuck in the mud, fell over on my butt...in the heat....my heart was pounding. I wish I had a video of the fat lady stuck in the mud, struggling to get up, seeing life flash before her face and laughing her a...... off!

Ya"ll pray for rain

I feel your pain and we are all praying/dancing/hoping for rain. Besides, this gives me the opportunity to buy new plants...

Oh Sharon that is a sad picture. I don't have one lotus since my pond is smaller, but I can still appreciate your distress at watching them die. I see rain storms up your way, I hope you get some of that rain....praying you do.
