I have been thinking about planting this shrub in my flower bed in front of my home. I was wondering about the root system on these. I want to make sure they won't harm the foundation or the sidewalks. I sure don't want something that will wrap around the pipes. If they are a problem I would like a suggestion on what would be good there. We live in Northeast Texas and there is no longer any shade in the front of our house and it is very hot there. I do have sprinklers in those beds.
