I can't seem to find any neptunes locally. Was going to give it a first time try and only see it on their website w/free shipping. I do see some other brands locally (alaska brand maybe), but it does not have kelp. I thought the kelp was important for the minerals etc.
-Should I order some neptunes fish kelp w/ free shipping?
-Or, the kelp part is not that important, and get the other (alaska) brand that just states fish at a local store?
neptunes fish kelp emulsion?
Hi physeek...
Thought you might find this info handy

Howdy physeek,
I buy fish emulsion and liquid seaweed seperately at Home Depot or Low's here in S.Texas. The fish is what i consider fertilizer, while the seaweed is for trace elements and enzymes which boosts the immune system reducing insect attacks and disease. Foliar feeding is very economical, either misting or the sprinkler can. These two work really well on my Peppers grown every year. Alternate applications or mix together. Using your good eye soon you will be able to tell when your plants will need a boost of one or the other.
Also using seaweed shortens sprouting time for seeds.

When I looked at this thread, it made me think of my mother, who always swore you buried a fish under each plant. She was native american. It brought back fond memories!
Hi sseiber6. Glad you got a smile...My Dad was part Cherokee...he taught us to bury the fish heads/guts etc in the garden...I was so tickled to find fish emulsion..LOL
