Could have been a raccoon.....I think snappers hiss, but have never heard one snarl....told the ranger, who was going to check it out...he asked if it sounded like a bobcat....don't think so....

Nice day here, low humidity and sunny with a breeze...I think they said one more day like today and then the humidity comes back, yuck!

We had an opossum on the yard one evening that the dog found and cornered and it definitely hissed.

58 degrees and somewhat cloudy.

a groundhog hissed at me too

really - if one did that to me soon there after it would be blowing its last bubbles!

Sunny and beautiful and I have indoor chores for today (waaaaaaaa)

great day's ahead here - off tomorrow and 1/2 day today - only big garden project is to trim bushes and the weekly mowing

Beautiful morning. I've been out taking photos and it's sunny, breezy and refreshing.

For the first time our dog, Harry, chased a stray cat out of the garage last night during his 10 PM outing. He's 14 and we've never seen him chase any critter anywhere! Bravo!

69°, wind from the Northwest at 4.4mph, H 72%, clear skies.

We're on the way to 81° here, clear and sunny all day with a slight wind from the west. Tonight we drop down to 59° under clear skies.

82 degrees, breezy and sunny. Perfect evening ahead for the summer Garden Club at school. Harvesting, weeding and mulching. Sure hope they come!

84° low humidity....have a couple coming for dinner tonight so ran around today getting stuff for dinner but then stopped at a garden center I passed to get 2 plants to fill in an empty spot

Just back from the city with the kids. Spectacular day!

Was a great day weatherwise....I ran around with my Mom for most of it......

Took photos, gardened, took more photos and really enjoyed the day and the great weather.

Walked the High Line in Chelsea. Really nice! Pics to come. Had a rip-off lunch at Macy's cafeteria. But had nice gelato at Grand Central.

Oh, yum....love gelato!

Just got home from the school garden. We worked really hard. It was very pleasant. Here it's 64 degrees now. The breeze died down at the last and the mosquitoes came out. But otherwise it was a very nice evening.

69 going to 59, much more comfortable today, sweated a little when I mowed the lawn, but I made up for it by taking a little nap in the lounge chair in a nice shady spot while being serenaded by professional song birds.

It's 51 degrees here and we have a thunderstorm warning for this afternoon. It's supposed to be 82 degrees for a high.

55 now, partly cloudy day with showers in the afternoon, high of 71

looks great out there now - off to go hiking

great day so far - back from hiking and picked up a really nice rock with great color, lichens, and quartz in it - must have weighted 40 pds - pretty heavy to lug 2 miles in my small backpack - had to have it:)

Bill, totally understand....i've done it too. Brian said we can never meet you anywhere for a hike after reading this....he couldn't handle 2 rock nuts. :)

What a gorgeous day. Worked for several hours at the school gardens. Got the tomatoes staked, trellises for the peas and beans and weeded and watered. Have to go turn the sprinkler off in an hour. 80 degrees here with a nice breeze.

There's a beauty of a rock where I walk the dogs....has layers of coral pink in it....however, it's a biggie! Weather so far is great...not many bugs out....had fun with the kids, but now I'm beat.....
