poisonous plants sharing toxins

Rio Dell, CA

I have a mole plant in intimate proximity to my green onions. Are they sharing toxins? Are my green onions no longer safe for consumption? I did see a dead snail but I am not sure what he was munching on.

No, plants don't share toxins.

What does a mole plant do?

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

Euphorbia lathyris http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/55261/ aka mole plant & gopher spurge is supposed to repel underground pests like moles & gophers (in theory at least...not sure how effective they are in real life. I have experience with other plants that are supposed to repel gophers, and the gophers will leave it alone but are perfectly happy to munch on the roots of the plant that's right next to it). Euphorbia lathyris can be a problem weed in some areas.

Interesting... I have moles everywhere, in the back. But apparently, it's not a good plant for my area. Thanks for the info.
