lastly a shot of a Great Egret...we all know its been hot...it sure has slowed my birding down. Some changes have been made at Pipe Creek the mudflats that so many shorebirds and other migrants have enjoyed has been changed to a habitat more suitable for Duck Hunters....just like that a great place is now gone. I have wrote a letter to the Ohio Division of Wildlife as to why these changes have been made...so far I have not gotten a reply.
Till next time.

Good to see you again, Burd. Great shots, but I particularly like the ones showing the immature American Herring Gull and the Purple Martin gaping for food. On a sadder note, that's awful about habitat destruction. We in Australia are expert at it.

Great shots Burd. It's very disheartening, to see habitat being destroy that way. Hope you get a respond to your letter.

Burd, I really enjoyed all the pictures that you've shared. But this one, poor baby, her beak is whopped -- must have done a nose dive! I heard your concern, hope the condition will improve over time.

I assume since duck hunters pay for a license & birders don't, the state would care more about them.
