What is this and how do I get rid of it?

Oscoda, MI

I have this succulent looking growing growing in my front yard. I am not sure what it is and the typical store bought weed killers (safe for lawn types) don't seem to do much to it. I live in northern Michigan near Lake Huron and we have really sandy (like sugar sand/beach sand) if that makes any difference.

Thanks!

Succulents are usually real easy to pull up, you can probably just use a hoe to get it all out

Looks like an introduced Sedum called mossy stonecrop which likes sandy soil - try googling "Sedum acre" for some pics to compare to see if that is what it may be. Regarding herbicides used to kill Sedum spp. and not grass, I am not sure. R

Yes they do look like sedum. You can pot them and sell them on- line. Belle

I have those too. they work great in rocky areas if you have one. if not, pot them up and sell them @ your next garage sale :)

How much do you have? They are very easy to root.

Heck, I just bought some to put on a concrete head for hair. Do as the others say, pot it up and sell it. It's expensive here in CA.
