Love all your blooms Becky, I love what the no Sora cross is doing. Appears it's crossed again with one of your vines last yr, very neat.
Summer 2011: Growing plants under lights indoors! Pt 1
Awesome blooms Becky all of them! Colin's dark bloom is also very unique! WOW!
Jackie - You may be right. That Sora may have crossed again or a recessive gene is showing up! Whatever it is, it's sure attractive!
Helena - Yes! That NOID dark bloom is such an interesting color! I did a double take when I saw that dark gray bloom photo that I posted above! That is the F1, so it came true from seeds from the first vine I grew (indoors).
I had some new blooms today. This is Debra's from the seed swap. I hope she will let me know what cultivar it is?

Becky some amazing blooms from your vines. I love the bloom from Helenas sds and the pretty shade of blue from Karen2005, Danys Q # is special and the Weird Saz will be entertaining all the way up to frost.
I like the new color your Saz is wearing like it's not to be outdone.
I heard from Karen (gardener2005) about Sazanami and she said the same thing that I have come to the conclusion about that cultivar ... sometimes it comes true, sometimes it is a solid color, and sometimes it produces lavender instead of blue blooms. It's not completely stable from seeds to this day! But I love it and it is so worth growing out as many out as possible to get that true pattern on the blooms! It's stunning when you get those blooms!
I agree! I got very lucky and got some really nice vines and blooms this season! Can't wait to see all of yours when they begin blooming! I know it won't be long!
Becky, I still have 30 or more waiting to get out of the small foam cups. I have a couple with buds that look like they can't open. I hate it when that happens.
I hope I get blooms soon too, so tired of waiting.
Wow Becky!! Your blooms are awesome, had to look slowly to enjoy each one! Love your set up, very neat!!
Jackie - I suspect that when mine don't open all the way, it is because they are needing a deep watering. Yours might need more root room if they are ones that still need potting up. I hope you can those other 30 vines moved into bigger containers.
Thanks Helena! I encourage anyone to try a similar set-up as mine. The vines look so healthy and perfect. No bugs, no drying heat, no diseases. Just beautiful MG vines! And the best part ... I don't have to deal with the mosquitos here because most of my vines are indoors! :-) I hate mosquitos!!! We've been getting a lot of rain lately and the bugs are horrible now. Ugh!
Another new one bloomed for me today. This is one from Nicole (Lilimerci)! Really pretty bloom!

Becky, all gorgeous blooms. One of mine will finally open tomorrow, just wasn't mature enough to open before. Akatsuki no Mai, can't wait to see the blooms
.
I agree with Jackie, all gorgeous blooms!
No kidding about the mosquitos and bugs, I hate them too.
Thanks Ladies! Always a pleasure that others enjoy the bloom photos! :-)
Helena - That is the BIGGEST kudo of growing them indoors ... no mosquitos! We've been getting rain every afternoon here for over a week now. The mosquitos are getting bad outside. Ugh! So it's so much nicer to just walk into my spare room and enjoy the blooms! LOL!
Been busy working so haven't been on the ball taking photos lately. But still manage to get a few shots sometime during the day.
This is mini bar rose! I didn't know if I would like this smaller type of vine, but it's really rather charming! I am trying to cross pollinate it with other colors. This is the perfect indoor vine because of it's compact size. This is the Bonsai size MG!
Becky I've had a few open with split petals too, very aggrevating.
I don't know whats causing it. Gorgeous speckles.
Please send us a pic of the no Sora cross when you can. I love the bloom it's making.
