Hi. I have a new diffenbachia. It is only about 1 foot tall. It has 2 large leaves. it doesnt seem to be growing any taller or getting any new leaves. What can i do to help it?
need help with my new diffenbachia
I would be patient--as long as it looks healthy otherwise it'll grow when it's ready to. If you transplanted it when you bought it, it will take some time to develop its roots before it puts out top growth. If you didn't repot it you won't have a delay because of that, but all plants go through phases where they grow more actively than others. If it looks unhealthy then that's a different question--post some pictures here and hopefully someone can suggest what might be wrong with it.
Thank you. It looks healthy. Its just that whenever it does grow a new leaf one falls off so it never has more than two leaves.
If leaves are growing and then falling off that's not healthy. My first suggestion would be to check your watering--overwatering is one of the most common things that people do wrong with plants, and leaves falling off would be one symptom of that.
