I just received my strawberry plants from bloomingblub.com (never again) so I was wondering if I can plant them now? I am in zone 10a or 22, and the strawberries are Eclair and is “short day” or “springbearing” variety has early season productivity of med-large, wedge shaped, extremely sweet berries, with medium firm flesh. The variety is resistant or very tolerant of garden soil diseases. With parent stock consisting of both springbearing and everbearing varieties.
TIA,
kurango
Is it too late to plant strawberries
I don't think you have much to lose. I don't think they'd winter over inside very well so I'd go ahead and plant them. I don't know that they'll produce berries now but at least they can still put out runners that will provide new plants for next spring.
