Last week I saw a report that said San Diego had to cancel their traditional July 4th fireworks because of a CA requirement of an environmental impact study! They said people can use this same requirement to force people planning backyard parties to do the same. Is this out of control or what?!!

This country is losing it's grip

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Except for a certain congressman??

They are not supposed to tell us what to do - Ha what a joke

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

San Diego may be worried about fires.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No - had nothing to do with fires. Of course they cannot have fireworks during bad droughts.

Just back from my older guy's clarinet solo at the school. He was great! Did Gypsy Moods. The kids were really good. The 5th grade was especially impressive. One girl did a long piece on piano from Chopin without music! She was perfect.

Cool!

I D/L Explorer 9 and it stinks. I gags and gags.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

I agree, Ex9 is horrible, I'm sticking to FireFox, I have both on both computers, but I like to use FF for one and EX for the other, now I'm just going to stick to FF.
(until they fix Ex9 and get it back the way it was before they messed it up). (lol!)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Never used IE. Was always a Netscape/Mozilla/FF guy.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

FF user here too

South Hamilton, MA

This computer seems slow at times. I don't know if EX 9 is on now. Have seen no notice to the fact.

I had 8 and it kept nagging me to upgrade. Before I was cruising along with no prob and down loaded it Tuesday and have been lollygagging. I had fire fox and said well lets try it and wheeeeeeee

South Hamilton, MA

I wouldn't know how to do Firefox but will be sure not to upgrade.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

the only thing I use IE for is my timesheet at work.. and because I have to... i did my upgrade and it took away my shortcut off my tool bar... way too annoying ... because the security I can not copy and paste the link.. had to go into my history to get it back

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

I use Safari, no complaints.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

An Apple girl all the way, Weeze?

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Yeah, I like it. Annoyed at myself for getting a windows based cell phone. I should have bought an iphone. Dumb.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Love mine! And the iPad2.

I cant find IE to remove it. I can get to where you can remove program files as they are all listed to remove but IE. They have it buried.

I looked down and My thumb and index finger were almost pure black! It wont come off????

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

that doesn't sound good

I got some of it off but its black....??? I dont have a clue what I got into. They were not black when I went to bed. ohh my gosh that dont sound good.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

is there something on them... or coming from inside like a circulation thing?

Its something on them and appeared overnight. ?? All I did yesterday was spread sawdust. I asked Jim if that could do it and he said no. It would of been both hands. Other then that I pulled a few suckers off the tomato plants and if that was it why would it be black?

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Remove IE from a Windows based system, and most likely the computer would crash, at the very least it would be severely hampered and you'd be unable to connect to the internet w/o 'Major' programing and security mods.
- My father had that condition Allison, forced him to retire early because of lack of dexterity/ functionality in his hands, one of his fingers was amputated as a result. - There was also some pain and discomfort involved, worsened by cold weather..

(not saying that's what Sherrie has.. at least I hope it isn't..)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I would have that checked out asap, Sherrie.

Don't try to remove IE, just don't use it. Gates doesn't like it if you remove it.

Took a shower did dishes and its coming off. Must of been the tomato's. I think I need Mage, think thats her name. Just freaky as that has not happened before.

Maybe my fingers are getting blight?

East Bridgewater, MA

Sometimes tar/asphalt gets into soil and on building materials, and using any oil, especially mineral oil or baby oil, will dissolve it.

I did not put my fingers in the dirt. Sawdust and tomato plants that was it. Well I had a cig in one hand and a kuzie in the other.

Vaseline/petroleam jelly also usually works on dissolving sticky stuff. Even lip balm,, since most brands have some petroleum jelly, or other emollient.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Only in NY!!

I can't believe that he didn't get hurt. How many tickets a month is an officer supposed to write?

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Funny! lol!!

Too funny.
