Trimming aloe leaves?

Hi all,

If an aloe leaf has become damaged on the end and is bent over, can i simply cut off that part of the leaf which is broken?

Will this kill the leaf as the gel will be slightly exposed at the end? or will it just continue to grow?

deeneezy my experience with my aloe vera which I'm just assuming is the one you are talking about. "there are hundreds of various aloes", You can cut off the damaged area and it will heal up. It is a pretty hardy plant, just don't overdo the water. Hope this helps.
