how can you tell Ardisia escallonioides from the invasive Ardisia elliptica
Ardisia escallonioides vs invasives
A elliptica is larger and has violet axillary blooms while A escallonioides blooms in terminal clusters.. New growth on A elliptica is a rosy pink/red and new growth on A escallonioides is light green. Here is some info for you.

thank you for the info-i planted this and i am concerned that its an invasive-probably will take it out
You are very welcome. From what I read, the A elliptica is no longer sold in Florida, or is not supposed to be anyway.
