Hi, I have a tropical hibiscus the blooms are yellow with a red center, the blooms are normally HUGE but now they are very small, I'd say 2.5 inches diameter. Why is this happening and what can I do to reverse it?
My hibiscus is putting out very small blooms, why?
Could be a defense mechanism...not enough water due to drought conditions. My hardy Hibiscus/mallow "disco belle series" normally has 6 to 8 inch or larger blooms...most of last year's blooms stayed around 4 inches as we just didn't get the rain we normally do. There were also fewer buds and blooms than usual.
