His handsome brother, actor Peter Graves ("Mission Impossible") died last year.
Yep, they were brothers.
Thats Entertainment #9
Didn't know that.
Dr. Kevorkian died too - and not sewer pipes!
Didn't know they were brothers. I got home from work and Jack told me Dr K died. My first question was, did he have assistance? Jack seemed startled by the question. I mean, really, who wouldn't ask that question !
I mean, really,.........that sounds so NJ. I was speaking with a gentleman from CA the other day. He asked if I was from NJ, because my "accent is so cute on me"........WHAT ACCENT?? ^_^
I wouldn't know. ^_^
1st question I asked myself too
no accent ... yo
I ain't got no axxent. Yous got a problem wit dat?
I got not prob wit that, but gotta (the biggest NE giveaway) ax, Jen, did you answer yoself?
Dr. Kevorkian wouldn't need assistance...he would have had his own "do-it-at-home" kit.
I admired the guy...go ahead, yell at me here on the internet, but he was a real stand-up guy, R.I.P.
I won't yell BA, I believed in him too! Better to die with dignity than suffering. We should be able to be as kind and humane to our loved ones as we are to our pets.
YES !!!!
YES !!!!!!
YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No successful civilization can EVER condone the self extinguishing of it's own citizens, it would akin to counter productivity, if you are suffering too much you just call an md to take you out??!!
- see how much guts it takes to take yourself out w/o out the Kevorkian types...
Edit: I self edited what I said after types.. lol.

Hopefully, a lifespan ends gracefully, in a gentle, descending glide.
But sometimes, it is a horrible road, with much pain.
If "The End" is truly near, a swift, clean exit is a brave thing.
"Loitering" is a Karmic injustice.... if "the end" is near, make it easier on everyone, and say your good-byes.
The term 'Loitering' is judgmental, you would have to think of yourself as a judge to perceive the worthiness of a life however unjust it may be. There is no tolerance for someone who advertises death as a substitute for life. - and that's how it is.
however those inclined to check out early can do so w/o retribution,
- ( It would be a good idea to file your taxes early though...).
The true value of life should be the human who is in possession of his faculties, who realizes the end is near, and decides to "terminate" quickly.
"Free will" of one's own self is "the" determining factor. .......PERIOD.....
The Netherlands has a good system.
Saw a DVD of "The Illusionist" yesterday (The 2010 animated film, not the 2006 romance--although that was pretty good too). Remarkable drawing and an engaging story with very little dialog, though a sad ending. Jacques Tati wrote the screenplay and I thought it was humorous that they made the main character look (and act) like him.
I will have to check out that version..
I liked him at the beginning - when he was just helping terminally ill who were in pain. He then 'graduated' to anyone who was depressed or claimed they could no longer go on. That was way too much. Over time, he was no longer about the patients, but about saying F you to the authorities.
Watched Harry Potter Deathly Hallows part one tonight. Pretty intense. Better than number six.
I thought this episode shared a trait with some old private eye movies:
The bad guys attack the hero, he loses his weapon (gun/wand), they capture him. Why don't they dispatch him if he is their nemisis? No, they stand around debating what to do with him and he escapes. I did like the phantom stag, though.
Good observation, Don.
Haven't seen any of the Harry Potter's movies nor have I read the books

I've been doing that for awhile, you can def taste the chemicals when you go back to eating the other stuff
you think they really use hair in cookie dough?
What?!!
Jamie Oliver said they put all sorts of nasty stuff in ice cream... including duck feathers and hair to make the cookie dough pliable

Here's the ingredient he was talking about
L-Cysteine

Saw Woody's "Midnight in Paris" today. Very amusing, even if you're not a lit major.
Optional game to play: See if you can identify the artistic and literary characters before they are named.
I never saw such a big crowd at the little art theatre we attended.
