I planted an Evergreen Pear tree about 2 months ago (zone 9-phx area). It's been doing very well --has new leaves and looks good. But about two weeks ago I noticed the leaves on the upper 1/3 of the the tree were crispy and curling, while the bottom 2/3 of the tree has brand new leaves on the the lower branches. What is going on? The tree is young--about 7ft tall, very thin, with only a about 4 branches--the very top one very droopy. The bottom-most branch should be trimmed off to keep it's tree form --but it seems to be the only spot that is doing well. I deep water once or twice a week.
Thanks for your help.
