Why does my salvia plant splay out in the middle and lay down? Does it need divided? I guess I can't do that now though huh? It's just starting to get flowers on it. Thanks for any responses

Can you say a little more about the conditions it's in & how you're caring for it? A picture might help too. If it's not getting enough sun that could cause it to be floppy, or if you're watering it or fertilizing it more than it needs that can cause it to grow fast, and fast growth can often be weaker and flop over as well.

It's in full sun, which is where it's been for the last 3 years. I actually don't really do anything to it, except cut it back in towards the end of fall. I believe last year it started to lay down, but that was later in the season. I usually have more flowers on it by now. The flowers that are there are basically laying on the ground. I will try and attach a picture..I hope it works!
