Money Plant HELP PLEASE!

Glendale, CA

Hello everyone,

My money plant tree leaves have burning tips on them. I put the tree on indirect sunlight and never expose it to direct sunlight. I water my tree once every one week or so or when the soil is dry. I really don't know why the tips of the leaves are burnt.

If anyone can help it would be great! :)

Thanks

Mine did the same thing awhile back. Here is the cool part...........you can trim those leaves back to cut off the brown and the rest of the leaf stays green. Seriously, many plants leaves will turn brown near the cut line. My money plant did not and this was months ago when they were trimmed. You sound like you are giving it the right growing conditions. Has it been fertilized? I use a weak liquid solution on mine about once a month or so. (1/4 strength water based all purpose plant food)
I wish I knew why your leaf tips turned brown, but I do not. I do know, that once I started keeping my plants soil slightly moist instead of letting it reach the dry soil period I saw improvement and have not had any more browning of leaves.

Lack of fertilizer won't cause brown edges.

One thing that can cause brown leaf tips is buildup of salts in the soil from fertilizer, etc. If it's been a while since you repotted it might help if you repot it in some fresh potting mix. And when you water, make sure at least some of the time that you give it a good thorough flushing with water (vs just adding a little bit of water), that will help get rid of some of the salt buildup.

Over watering will cause browning of the tips. Is the soil fast draining? Perhaps it retains too much water? Salts from fertilizer will do it as well. Back off the feeding.
