Pelle, thanks. 1st time I've noticed the white 'poneytail' on that BCNH.
Daily Pics Vol. 401
Yep, their great looking birds!
Margaret, Those Black Swans are gorgeous and I love the Kookaburra!
Nice Western Tanager tiger!
Love seeing all your birds. Haven't seen any Tanagers this season, such pretty birds.
I am kept pretty busy feeding my quail and mix of Pine Siskins and goldfinches, also quite a few Hummingbirds, Roufus, Black Chinned and Caliope.

Lily, your towhee looks pretty among the green leaves. Cute heron photo. That white ponytail shows his breeding plumage.
Red, love that egret shot.
Mrs. Ed, love your little wren. Sorry to hear about the chickadees and no eggs.
Margaret, fabulous photos of that swan. They sure can look threatening. Love the "teeth". That kookaburra couldn't be any sweeter.
Tiger, great photos of your tanager. I'm still looking for one here this year.
My crows are busy re-building their nest close to our house. I imagine it will again be blown down by the wind soon.
Neat shots of the swans Margaret, and the kookaburra is one of my favorites from down under!
I could use one of those in a couple of months!
Beautiful oriole duc!
Allergies still keeping me somewhat inhibited here....*sigh*
Great pics, all! Isn't there some theory about those black swans? Liked the capture of the tanager with the yellow-jacket in its mouth. I have an eye to the sky this afternoon, but looking for twisters, not birds. I think it's going to be a bumpy afternoon.
Mama got off her eggs this morning and Daddy and the juvies checked them out. It is a good capture of the birds, but early in a gray day, just not enough light for a good pic.

Red, hope you and the other members here won't be in any danger. Your bbs are adorable.
Nanny, feel better soon.
Isn't there some theory about those black swans?
Yes - an old philosophical theory of something that is impossible, first made by the Roman poet Juvenal ("rara avis in terris, nigroque simillima cygno").
Must've been a big shock for the philosophers when Australia was discovered!

Wonderful shots duc! Love the Orioles!
Cute juvies red!
One tornado went north of me, another south. I think I'll have a drink!
Still a cute one nanny!
I would do that too red!
glad your okay red...anybody heard from dellrose???
I talked to her after the Joplin storm. All was okay.
Thanks...I thought about her all day yesterday.......
Nanny, I can't believe your wps will even eat the orange. That's amazing when all my birds just turn their noses up to them here.
Red, I glad to hear the tornadoes are missing you. I can only imagine how you must be feeling.
I do hope that everyone made it through the latest storms.
This Brewer's Blackbird was displaying his goods for the little lady who totally ignored him.
Duc....weird that yours won't eat oranges...even the squirrels eat the oranges here!
Aww he is so handsome! Hope he makes out okay. Nice pics duc!
Yep, that is what you think it is, I finally got him, I was taking pictures of my Irises and saw a red head, I thought it was the rb wp but it was bigger, I thought to myself that can't be what I thought it was, yep, it was him! Sorry the picture is kind of fuzzy, I was excited and he kept moving. This is the clearest one I got. Maybe someone who has more sophisticated equipment than I have can clear it up a little. But finally!
Adel, congratulations on the lifer. At least you were able to identify the bird.
Mrs. Ed, your wren in a cutie.
Teddy, glad you're enjoying the oriole. Congrats on the pileated.
Nanny, hope your allergies are better now.
I finally got to see a male Western Tanager here-a lifer yahoo! Of course I'd already put the camera away, but I'm hoping he'll return today. Here's one of my Hooded Orioles after a bath.
