Thanks Dave for sharing that 'awareness' pix of the mocker. I attended the "Relay For Life" yesterday. It was a good support group organization. Great pix everyone. Burn, love the Yellow Warbler and the Hooded W. I've been busy all day, no pix to share.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

This pix was taken yesterday, the Black-crowned Night Heron. I did see the same bird flew by this early morning. Apparently he "camped" out on his favorite spot to hunt nightly, and sometime stayed over late.

Gosh, so many beautiful bird photos. I love them all. All I am seeing are great big fat Grackles!!

Norman, OK

I've been gone to some end of school functions for my grandsons for a few days. Haven't taken any bird pics. Lots of family pics.
But I can always get a bird fix here. I'm back at home and saw a pair of Great Egrets from the yard on one of our ponds. I usually take a walk down there and come up dry, but got a few shots today. They even cooperated by getting in the falls.

Burn, love that yellow warbler. Cute photo of Ms. cowbird.

Lily, great shots of the heron and mocker.

Great shots Adel. The tree swallow sure is cute, hope you'll see the young soon. I haven't seen any little ones yet, but the parents are bringing in food.

Tiger, beautiful bunting and cute shot of your swallows. Love that black cap on the warbler.

Granny, sorry about the grackles.

Red, that's some pond. Beautiful egret shots!

The Bald Eagles are busy every day searching for food. This one was making a nest somewhere. Sure wish it had been a clearer capture.

Great shots, duc. I really like that Black Phoebe. lily, is that a dinner bell or your dock ?

Haven't been out taking any pics, so I'll just post another of the egret from yesterday.

Thumbnail by reddirtretiree
Central, AL(Zone 7b)

^_^ Red, it's neither. It could however, be my neighbors' Dinner bell and definitely it's their dock. I enjoyed visiting with them for I learned yesterday that all the hummingbirds all gathered there in mass number around their back porch.

While working in the garden, I spotted this Black Crowned Night Heron from a distance. Before day break it was already out there 'fishing'.

This is one of my resident House Wrens. I have a pair with a house and some hanky panky going on, so I think I'll be seeing some babies. I think this is good news for the Chickadees who are still in their box, but with no eggs again this year.

Thumbnail by Mrs_Ed
Central, AL(Zone 7b)

LOL about your House Wren, Mrs. Ed. Ummm, no baby for the Dees? Hope things will change soon. I've been watching these Phoebes for several days. Until I saw their tails bobbing, and hear their songs. Otherwise, I wasn't sure if they were Eastern Kingbirds.
