I planted some Morning Glories 3 or 4 years ago, they were beautiful that summer, but now they've invaded my two garden patches by sprouting up everywhere! Last year they covered one fence where I was trying to grow green bean vines, and now they're coming up everywhere throughout my garden areas. I've been pulling each sprout I find, but the next day there are always lots more. Is there any way to get rid of them in a vegetable garden area?
Thanks for any ideas.

A bit of info for you. I call MG's Nature's Gotcha plant....grin Diligent use of a pre-emergent like Amaze or Preen is useful to keep new seeds from sprouting...and frequent cultivation of the soil will also help.

I hear you!! After the the flower is dead pick it so it does not produce seeds and then the it won't self seed.
Had the same problem with Ajuga Reptans. I'm using a combination of Roundup, digging them up, laying newspaper and mulch on top and mowing anything that gets in the lawn. Bad news is I think the bugleweed is winning.
Thank you so much for the links, your advice, and sharing your experiences! It sounds like persistence is the key, along with other strategies.
You are welcome...best of luck in your "battle"...grin Moon
