South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Planning on coming Louise....would love an iris.
Allison, did you give me mums? If not would love some.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

you got it Celeste

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Yippee, Celeste!!! Count on it!!

New Hampshire, NH(Zone 5b)

Wish I could make it. My grandparents are arriving that weekend from Florida. I'm going to host a family reunion the following weekend so I'm afraid I won't be able to swing it. One of these days I'll make it to an RU. Would also love to host one someday!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

So sorry you can't come, Christina!! I was hoping you might be able to Summer is such a busy time though. Count me in if you have a RU!!!! I'd love to see your gardens!!!

New Hampshire, NH(Zone 5b)

Thanks Louise. You don't have to wait for an RU though. If you're ever in the Manchester/Nashua area give me a shout. Fellow gardeners are always welcome :)

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Thanks! And of course that goes both ways!! :)

(Pam) Warren, CT(Zone 5b)

I'm so sorry I won't be able to make this one. I have to be in Southampton that weekend for another event. But I'd love to meet up with anyone who's in this area or traveling through...

Pam

Thomaston, CT

Pam, we could certainly meet at Old Barn Farm in Goshen where my son lives.....or come down to Thomaston anytime!

Hallowell, ME

Late entry. Would love to come. DW and I are always looking for excuses for great rides.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Yay! Another Maine plate!!!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

That's great, Frank. We'd love to have you!! I'll dmail you our address for your planning purposes.

For the sake of anyone else who would like to come, we will have a pot luck lunch, a plant/seed swap if you have plants you'd like to swap and a raffle of garden items brought by the raffle participants (which can include plants, seeds, garden needs like fertilizer or anything related to the garden). The raffle is optional - if you care to participate, please bring an item to be raffled off.

We will be ready for everyone by 11:00 a.m. and all you need to bring besides what was mentioned above is a chair for outdoor seating. We do have some chairs for those who do not have one to bring, but we don't have enough for everyone.

We do not have a handicap accessible bathroom unfortunately. As I mentioned previously, I'll post a food and plants thread at some point, listing the food and plants people plan to bring. For now, feel free to mention plants you want or that you could bring to see who is interested here on this thread. I'll translate those into a list as a reminder later.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

I'd love some mums, Allison. Those are pretty!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I was planning on taking a bunch Karen.. no problem

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Great! I have lots of stuff to bring. Not sure of everything yet, but there will be a variety of daylilies, absolutely!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

They are used to that Karen. ^_^

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Yes they are! :-)

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Pam and Jan - I thought I had responded to both of you, but as I was going through the names of those who are coming, I did not see any posts to either of you. I am sorry you can't make it this time, but as for Jan - well, it might be a real stretch to take a break from your Oregon vacation to fly here for the day! LOL And Pam, I am also sorry you can't make it since I'd love to meet you face to face too! Hopefully, our paths will cross sooner than later. Even at the last minute, if anything changes, just come on!! We'd all love to have you come!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

FYI - I amended the first post in this thread to list those who are planning to come so far. I thought it might help if anyone cares to carpool.

And here is a link to the PLANT SWAP THREAD: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1185047/

If everyone coming will please go to the Plant Thread and hold a spot at the top of the thread, it will make it much easier for each of you to edit your spot as your plant info as to giving and receiving plants changes. Allison made this suggestion and I would encourage everyone to go there asap and hold a spot. Thanks!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

sorry didn't see you edited your last post.. long day babe

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

I am typing this on my new iPad. I have a lot to learn.

Um mm. Don't think I'll be flying in for the day, although it is tempting.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

We'll miss you, Jan!! Enjoy your iPad. I love my iPhone. Apple makes it all pretty easy.

(Pam) Warren, CT(Zone 5b)

I looooove my iPad! I rarely turn on the computer any more. Im lying in bed now catching up on email, DG, and my gardening notes for this year. Only thing is it's really hard to post pictures here. I have an app Always on PC but it's really slow and tedious so I rarely use it. If you find another way, please let me know!
Also you really have to watch how it 'corrects' typing- especially Latin plant names!

Hehe I am having fun. Not completely set up yet. May go back to the store for a workshop. I am hoping that I will be able to sit out in the garden when I get home and send pic. that's my desire anyway.
An afternoon swim felt great. we even had the baby in the water. she seemed to like it.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

anyone interested in balloon flowers?... I can go see if there are any seedlings out there.. usually is some white ones in the back

Thomaston, CT

Yes, Allison, thank you!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

see what I can scavenge up

;)

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Louise and Hank, you really should consider paving your whole paradise so I can come - NOT. That would be sacrilege.

Have you considered fake cameras? As a deterrent?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

If anyone is interested in buying some of the coir blocks I have for sale.. please D-Mail me.. don't want to clog up the thread with that nonsense

(Pam) Warren, CT(Zone 5b)

Hi everyone,

I hope the weather is as glorious there as it is here in the Hamptons...

I'm sure you're having a fabulous time seeing old gardening friends, meeting new ones, and talking gardening nearly non-stop--That wears very thin very fast with our less-interested and soon bored regular companions, as we all know too well by now. I look forward to seeing the pictures and reading the stories soon... And hope that next time I'll be able to join in.

Enjoy!

Pam

Thomaston, CT

We'll miss you, Pam!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Yes, Pam, we'll miss you. Hope you're enjoying the Hamptons. I love it there. You do know the RU is next Sat., right?

Karen

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

I am not going to be able to come to the RU afterall. My car has a blown head gasket and I am waiting to get it into the shop and find out whether it is repairable or not. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we can just fix it - hey, it's been good for 150k - why stop now?

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Oh, bummer, Memory. We will miss you. I had a similar problem when I wanted to go to Louise's last RU in the fall about 2 or 3 years ago. I hope it doesn't run you too much money.

Karen

Thomaston, CT

Eeek...not good, Memory! I'll miss you!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Yank, Allison said she'd pick you up....don't want to miss you. :(

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

She dmailed me and I'm either going to be picking up my fixed car or more likely, buying a different car on Saturday. I've got to take care of business. I'm not happy about it - in fact I cried when I dropped off my car at the mechanic - but I've got to do it. I will miss everyone.
