strange things

I've read where plants are supposed to respond well to to music and if you talk to them, music? possibly, talking? hope nobody sees me

Paphos, Cyprus

Hehe.. my philosophy is; If I smile at someone who walks past me, I will more than likely get a smile back and maybe even a 'Hello' (I'll feel happier too). However if I keep my head to the ground in silence, it's not likely that there'll be any communication whatsoever. Plants are living things too... but I'd wait until the neighbours go out!

Hey What ever works! Sing, Dance and be Merry fs1 It can't hurt and the response you get will never be negative. Just send us a video of it will ya LOL

nice replies, so what if they see me, as long as my garden grows well

I've been swearing and cursing at the weeds and they're flourishing. Not sure the reverse will have much more affect.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

That is because weeds are spiteful critters Duck...grin

I talk to my garden....but then I have been known to share a word or two with inanimate objects also....grin i don't know that it makes the plants any happier or makes them grow better, but as Lorrkin said, it makes me smile and that is the purpose of my garden. Besides...the neighbors already think I am a bit "tetched in the head" and my talking to the plants just gives them validation...which makes them happy...LOL

Hey, I talk to everything--in varying tones. Carbon dioxide is what the plants get.

I have read that plants respond to different types of music also.

Oh, youve got it bad or good don't know which, beautiful orchid by the way Thanks

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

a matter of perspective surely...grin I actually do crank up the music and open the windows in the springtime so the plants and I can enjoy the music.

Thank you...I am very fortunate they are tolerant of me and bloom despite my care or lack thereof. The tree frogs and lizards seem to actually help keep pests away and the orchids seem to thrive in the lathe house with little more from me than water and when I remember a bit of food.
