What is growing in my garden? (weed? veggie? I don't know!)

There is something growing in my garden that I did not plant and I'm not sure what it is. I don't want to remove it if it's useful and not a weed. Any ideas?

It is a grass, possibly Milo Maize (Sorghum bicolor). Do you have a bird feeder nearby?

Garlic, maybe? Break off a leaf rub it between your fingers, and give it a sniff!

Wild onion or garlic. Either way you might want to pull those out before they spread.

I smelled the leaves and pulled one out and it's definitely garlic! Thanks for the suggestions!

KatherineD - I thought that's what it was. Wild garlic comes up all over the place here. They're edible!
