I posted this on Ask-a-Gardener but I can't wait anymore. These lovely squash plants (I think they are butternut squash) came up in our compost in early March beautifully, but started showing signs of tearing at the end of April. When I inspect them, there aren't any bugs on them other than an ant or two each leaf. What could be eating them, is this normal tearing, and what could I do to prevent further ripping in the leaves if it's not good for the plant? Thank you and hope the picture helps. Val
