We have planted a young (self-pollinating) peach tree last fall and this spring it has loads of little fruit. I read once that one should not harvest fruit the first year or two. Is that true? Should the fruit be removed at maturity? Also, when should we start spraying? We are still total novices, but would like to start a small orchard for home-use. We are located in South Central Kentucky, Allen County. Many thanks in advance for any hints.
Harvest peaches from tree planted only last fall?
Where did you buy your peach tree from. It must be 2 to 3 years old, for it to produce peaches already. Yes, pick the peaches before the bugs get to them.
