I bought this plant @ least 3 years ago from a reputable nursery and planted it, in full bloom, in part sun/part very light shade. Since then it has thrived and grown, but has never since bloomed. I have Mexican heather, lavender, cosmos, all in same general part of the yard and they all produce flowers. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
fleabane that will not bloom
Do you trim it back? i know Fleabane requires full sun, good drainage and benefits from regular shearing back. Do you fertilize it? Some plants grow like crazy when fertilized, but never bloom...
Thanks - I stayed away from fertilizer, thinking maybe they're like nastursiums or morning glory which aren't supposed to be fertilized. What about fertilizer that is specifically to promote blooms?
If it isn't performing, then it isn't happy....giving it a bloom booster probably won't hurt it...and It might be what it needs...Good Luck...keep us posted. Grin
