Hi,just planted a white seedless grape vine,bareroot, about 3 wks ago,am starting it out in a large container,miracle grow potting mix,never hve planted any fruit vines before,the leaves that were on it died off,shock,I expected that,but I am wondering how long before I see any growth,havent seen any yet,2 yr vine,Im in Mich,any advise would be gratefull,thanx alot

It's funny, I was just expressing my disgust with Miracle Gro potting soil and here way are again. The problem you're having my be related to fertilizer burn. You may want to gently shake the plant out of its container and see what the roots look like (they should be white and fleshy). Then you may want to use a better soil mix that contains less peat (which is too fluffy and light for woody plants) and more compost, cow manure and pine bark soil conditioner. Miracle Gro (as much as I dislike the company) has a decent mix called Tree and Shrub Planting Mix that contains no fertilizer and also their Organic Garden Mix isn't too bad.
