I live in zone 6a, Pittsburgh PA. I need to start working in my gardens, but it has rained so much and soil is atrociously wet and soggy. My question is I know when one works the soil when it is wet, it can become rock hard later on. Need some advise, please! thanks in advance.
Rain, rain and more rain
Hope that it has stopped raining. If not, maybe lay down paths of lumber or thick straw. that would even out the pressure on the soil by dispersing weight. The lumber might do better, unless the weather makes it slick..falling is not good.
