The only place I can start my garden is at the bottom of our sloped lawn that my husband fertilizes w/Scotts (steps 1-4). Is this fertilizer going to cause problems for my vegtables? If so, would raised beds work? If so, how high should I go to protect the roots from the fertilizer?
Lawn Fertilizer Run Off
I think one of the steps contain a broad leaf herbicide. I don't know how much they move around with run off but a broad leaf herbicide will definitely harm a garden.
Heavy rains will cause run off it just fertilized. Raised beds would take care of this problem. I would suggest 8-12-inch raised beds.
