Once a upon a time, long long ago, I got poison ivy as a child. My Pap Pap was in the yard and pulled up and crushed a plant he called (what sounded like) Boon-a-grattle. He applied the juicy stuff to my poison ivy and it did seem to help the itch. As an adult I remember that the plant looked like Purslane or a wide-leafed Portulaca. I don't remember it having any flowers, tho. My Pap Pap lived in the hills of Eastern Pennsylvania. He was Pennsylvania Dutch. Can anyone help me? Have you ever heard of this plant, have any experience with it at all? What do you think?
