Help!! Sprintails everywhere!!

I need help! My yards (front and back) and master shower are covered in springtails! I noticed them by the hundreds on my front patio then in my greenhouse completely covering all my plants! Now they are appearing in my master shower despite all the killing/cleaning them. From what i have read my options dont look like it will really resolve my problem. Does anyone have any advice or ideas on how to get rid of these annoying critters?

Googlie - I hope you have found some help by now. If not, you might check with your County Extension office. I don't know if the springtails in CA are the same as what we have here in MO, but here is an article from our Extension: http://extension.missouri.edu/publications/DisplayPub.aspx?P=g7363
It sounds like your infestation is bad enough that you might have to resort to an insecticide. If you do, please be careful and read the label. (I know that goes without saying, but I'm always a bit wary of insecticides because I have a dog and my neighbors have small kids.)
