Something has eaten the crowns out of my strawberries. I am in the country and rabbits are bad this year, but I've never seed this before. Plants are completely or partially pulled up. Anyone know what does this?

No squirrels or groundhogs and armadillos make a bigger mess & eat the roots. Any other ideas?
