Can I leave my Bell Pepper seedlings outside at night

Peoria, AZ

The days here in Arizona are going to be in the high 80's for the next 10 days, but the nightime temps will drop to low 60's down to 60. Should I bring them in at night? They just emerged a few days ago.

charity,

under normal situations I would say No at 60 degrees they should be fine. However, if you are worried about them getting cold you can cover them up with a light weight sheet for the night .

if they have been out side for sometime you should not have any issues with a 60 degree temps the plants will be hardy and with stand the outdoors better, also they would be a much tougher plant for the next season should you wish to grow the same things ..... save the seed from a few big fruits of your labor .

I hope this helps you out and answers your question. I do have plants and seedlings outdoors now and our temps have been in the lower 30's . I simply cover them the same way as I spoke of and have not lost any at all yet .

Anything over 50-55 should be fine overnight.
