Got three of my four new JMs from Topiary today: A Peaches n Cream with awesome branch structure, Tiny Leaf and Sunglow. The fourth, Koto Maru, has not been shipped yet because she can't find it.
Spending Spree part 5
Cool! Only have P&C.
I'm already loving P&C. It's my favorite of the three - the spring color is just gorgeous on the one she sent!
I got P&C this spring and absolutely LOVE it! Wasn't sure where it was going to go, but decided in the back yard on the sight line from the deck. It's so pretty I want to see it as often as possible.
I agree. I dont know where mine is going yet but it must be somewhere very visible!
Mine is still in a pot. Might plant it this year.
Stop! Cannot buy another plant!
8 (at least 3 bulbs/pot) more pots of hyacinths and a mugo pine and 2 (I forget ) junipers AND a blue rug juniper total $16.51
Ooooo, I love Mugo pines
Trying to spend some $ but not finding what I'm looking for. I need a replacement whiskey barrel that's not going to cost me a ton of $ but is big enough to replace the one I have.
There is a new Tractor Supply store near me, very disappointed in their garden dept.
Roses arrived. Haven't opened yet.
How can you not, Victor? My lilies came from the Lily Nook today, the only order missing is my Brushwood.......
my garden harvest supply came.. a bunch of annuals.. and I was picking pink peanuts for an hour... UGH
I was thinking the same thing, Robindog :) My Garden Crossings order came today. 4 different hellebores, columbine, japanese irises and echis.
Boy, this thread sure moves fast! FlowAgen, thanks for the tip on songsparrow website for small conifers, I found a mugo pine ('Jacobsen') that looks like it would be just the right size/shape. It is on its way.
I received Brushwood clem order today, and did open it.
Wow, you guys have been getting lots! I should be getting my daylily order from Marietta soon. I would love to order from Annie's again, but don't know if I can afford it.
Hate to make you jealous, Marilyn, but I paid $3.89 for gas today, which was 2 cents cheaper than yesterday. I'm sure we'll catch up to you soon, though.
Songs, I have been wanting Peaches And Cream. I'm jealous!
Karen
That Peaches and Cream is GORGEOUS.
You're welcome Granite
Found a awesome whiskey barrel replacement at Lowe's and the best thing, I had a gift card...Will take a pic of it tomorrow
I love barrels... they don't have rocks in them!!!!
This one is REALLY cool looks like something medieval
Randy is going to like it then
Good news, Jen.
Opened them. Most look very good. One or two look problematic. Already emailed them.
Got an email that my Brushwood order has shipped, I think I have just a large DL order outstanding, and my Summer Song from Palanties that won't come until fall. I'm running out of room!
victor how is that tree from davidsans doing - i had one that was stressed and appears to be ok now.
Not good. He asked me to remove all leaves to encourage a possible re-flush. I did and I'll see what happens.
he told me about taking the leaves off - i have read that they do that in japan sometimes when they transplant trees - good luck
Thanks. I tried that with my hair years ago. Still waitin'...
should have never pulled it out - all hair is dead:)
ordered another jm today - Murakumo - a rare yellow/green with speckles.
one more later today from Davidsans
Getting some dying leaves on another Davidsan one - a five gal one too. Ugh.
that is probably just stress from being out in the sun and the trip - he keeps them under 50% shade cloth - i keep mine under the deck for 2-3 weeks before planting out.
Not in full sun. Planted another from the same order right next to it and it's fine.
nice Jen!!!... yes Randy would love it
Great for holding beer!
they do look nice RobinDog!!
My clem from Bluestone was about ½ that size
Nice, Robin.
Are you surprised, Jen?? Normal for Bluestone.
1/2 that size is good for bluestone
