Just for fun!!!!

I think people should skip more

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Most of my thoughts are random.

East Bridgewater, MA

"Deep Breathing" is regarded as a silly "New-Age" technique for calm thought, but cultures all over the globe, and from all ages, believe that deep breathing adds to the quality of life.

Every time you look at the clock, or look at your watch, just take 3 deep inhalations.

Lower blood pressure, less social irritations.

Everyone wins.

'Deep Breathing" saved my childrens hides from being 'tanned' more than once. ^_^

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Every time I did deep breathing on the phone, I got in trouble.

East Bridgewater, MA

"Deep Breathing" should be directed inward, not outward (nor extremely outward).

Thomaston, CT

Random thoughts? Should be cleaning my house. Hate cleaning the house. Should be raking the garden....too soggy....the dale is out in the muddy holes he has dug, see above about cleaning the house!

Who looks most like a cadaver - Stephen Tyler, Ozzie Osbourne, Keith Richards or Mickey Rourke??

East Bridgewater, MA

All of the above...you forgot Larry King.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

And Bob Barker.

LK

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I would go with Keith.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

it is a tough choice between the two

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I would go with Keith too.

Love how blowing bubbles keeps kids and dogs entertained for hours

East Bridgewater, MA

Bubbles keep me entertained.

(Victor, that's a set-up line for you, right?)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Too easy.

East Bridgewater, MA

Unless you made it about Bubbles the chimp, Michael Jackson's only real friend, R.I.P.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

We played with bubbles with our dog for the first time the other day, she didn't like them touching her, but otherwise ignored them.

The more I try to sort mom's stuff and I think I'm making headway, it seems to grow overnight.

Thomaston, CT

I can sympathize, Jan.....still some of DH's things I have.....

Big Box stores are acting wierd. I have not been able to find Hubbard Squash seeds in any of them for 3 years.

East Bridgewater, MA

Yep, it's the "sentimental value" that slows the process, a lot of objects hold memories.

An expert "organization" lady said to assign a box for "memories" to speed up the process, then later go through it, and take "tiny" elements for a scrapbook.

The example given was an old, favorite blouse that held big memories for the daughter doing the sorting. She was advised to cut a small swatch of the fabric, and put it into a scrapbook, and label why it was important.

It was THE DISCRIPTION in the scrapbook of why the swatch was important, that liberated the daughter from the larger object.

It's all about PSYCHOLOGY

:)

I like that BA.

My sister is still holding my mom's stuff hostage, hopefully the lawyer's letter and all insueing legal action will loosen her grip!!!!

East Bridgewater, MA

Wow, sounds like there are issues, hope all ends well.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

It's a crazy situation I'll tell you that!!!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

I like that, too, BA. thanks.

YIKES, Jen. Sorry 'bout that.

I'd love to learn wood-working. Must get over my fear of saws.

Thomaston, CT

Lord, I'm terrified of saws....everytime Garret uses one, I'm sure he'll lose something!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Definitely need a healthy respect for them. Dear brother did a lot of damage to his hand and so lost his job at a cabinet shop. DH got a bad cut last year. Nevertheless I still want to learn. There are lots of things I'd like to do w/o relying on anyone else. I look at trash to treasure and think I'd like to try some of those things.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

It seems the fear of saws is widespread! Same here...

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I got an A+ in woodshop when I was in jr high. I still have the step stool I made.

I dont like saws. My father got 3 of his fingers lopped off with one.

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

Did you ever wonder why one flower in the garden danced in the breeze more than the others? Why a leaf fluttered while it's neighbors only swayed?
Andy P

Thomaston, CT

I guess not, Andy....not too observant sometimes. But I do notice the color of things.....

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I wonder those same things about people.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

:))))))))))

How much is appropriate to mow a lawn about 1/3 acre? A man came around today handing out his card offering to mow. He does some already in the neighborhood. I asked him his rate and he said 'What would you give me?" I have no clue. We will need someone while we are gone. So,then what would you consider the going rate? Just trying to get an idea. I'll ask the neighbors also.

Hallowell, ME

Mly random thoughts seem to get me in trouble. I do sway breeze or no. I guess it's an age thing. No I don't drink.

Thomaston, CT

Jan, I pay the mowers $50.00 for an acre....it may go up this year because of the gas prices.....speaking of which, the Mobil station in town has gas for $4.01 a gallon....Mobil in Lee, MA was &3.69 a gallon....can't believe the entire difference was CT taxes...if it is, I'm more than mad!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Thanks RD for the info.
