Note the tips of the leaves. Anyone know what is causing this and how I can remedy?
What's happening to bush beans?
something similar is happening to mine, but not as severe.
I also have what looks like brownish-golden 'mold' or 'gunk' on the bottoms of some of my bush beans, as well as a couple of my tomato plants.
I'm guessing the damage was caused by caterpillars.
SoFlaCommercial - the "gunk" you are seeing is probably caterpillar poop, known as "frass"
The culprits are good at hiding, some are a bright green and camouflaged so well that they are hard to see.
Thanks again, HoneyBee.
Ok, the picture from the original post is actually from my friends garden. I thought I would help him out and post his dilemma here. He says the tips of the leaves have turned to tissue paper and crumble. Maybe it is a fungus?
