Hi, all!
I have some green onions that I purchased and planted in a bunch instead of separately, since I ran out of room. After a while, the tops were mostly brown, so I harvested them. I washed the little onion bulbs, and left most of the roots on. I want to keep them in the fridge for a while to cook with.
1) should I leave the roots on or cut them off?
2) should the bulbs be absolutely dry before I put them in a baggie in the fridge? Or is slight dampness okay?
3) how long might they last in the fridge?
4) Can I freeze them?
Any help you can give me with any of these questions would be greatly appreciated!
