Carrot and Garlic Question

Can I plant carrot seeds in peat pellets and then transplant the seedlings? Ditto for garlic.

Yes on the garlic.

Don't know about the carrot seeds. Root vegetables, especially carrots, can become mis-shapen if they are transplanted.

GrayThumb - keep carrot seeds damp at all times until they sprout. Then keep them damp until they have established. After that, you can water as usual.

I like to lay a row cover over the seed until they are growing nicely. This keeps off the birds, and stops the wind blowing away the seeds.
