Wooohooo! Annette 'Crystal Fountain' and 'Josephine' are going to be a show-stopper!!! Congrats!

Beautiful Teshio, Louise. It's lovlier than the site shows.

Annette - Wonderful Fireworks! Crystal Fountain will be gorgeous and is great at the teasing stage as is Josephine! Keep us up to date with more photos.

Arlene .. yes there is a green stripe on it. I counted the blooms on it now. ( Don't you know an old math teacher has to count the blooms?) there are 37 fully open this morning . I am going to get another picture of it tommorrow , when the rain stops. It is difficult to get a full picturte of it , because it is in a raised bed with lilies in front of it which are already three feet tall.

Ex math teacher meet my husband, ex banker = bean counter! I've often gone to bed counting my clem's, not sheep.

I love the light green stripe (like Henryi) and 37 blooms open at the same time sounds divine. Take a few photos to capture them all and please get more close up shots. Thanks, John.

Henryi:

I love 'Henryi' too, mine too is missing this year. :((

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

What's up with Henryi this year? Yours and Louise's is missing while mine doubled due to layering. Maybe mine will go missing next year.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Arlene, I planted Henryi in too much shade mingling with the evergreen armandii. I think it didn't make it as the shade grew deeper each year.

Signing off, the storm is getting closer to us...

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Stay safe from that storm, Kim.

My Liberation is too close to montana Grandiflora so my helper and I did a very serious trim on Grandiflora last fall (much too late) and now Liberation is liberated and looking good. Grandiflora's robust growth also killed Pink Champagne so now I have a new one growing (from Koi) to replace the dead one.

The montana of ours is the right plant in the wrong place.

Hope everything is fine for you Lily_love. We were at my son's soccer game when this crazy weather started coming through. Hopefully the wind and rain won't damage our blooms. We do need the rain here, but not when it's coming down like this.

Here's my first clem bloom of the season Nelly Moser and it's her debut.. I got this one last year but alas not a single bloom.

I think she may be making up for it now.

She sure is kjuddy. She's beautiful!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Lovely, kjuddy. I love how the colors appear to change so much from sun to shade.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Yes, and Nelly is a reliable bloomer. :)) Thanks all we made it out of the storm! So thankful it's behind us.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Great. Tonight will be our turn.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Arlene, it's your turn to stay safe. The transition from spring to summer is rough.

I'll sleep through it, as usual, Kim.

That's a beautiful view!

This is a closeup of Gurnsey cream. I believe the green comes out more in the picture than in the actual bloom.

It's so stunning. I notice the green more, here, in the shade.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

I've no idea which one this is. It isn't new, but it's just as pretty. FOS (first of season) bloom on this unknown clem.

Lovely clematis and photograph, Kim.

That Ville de Lyon and foxglove are a perfect duet in your garden.

Thanks Arlene, has the storm moved away from the beautiful sky of NY?

Nelly Moser is such a camera ham - lucky for all who have her!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Skies are sunny and it's closing in on 60 degrees - gorgeous!

I'm heading out now to do some serious trimming on my Tardiva hydrangea so the clematises below it will have more sunlight.

Athens, PA

Kim - glad to be back. Seems like all we have been doing is running.

The storm has moved out of our area as well. We have high winds now. Makes me wonder what it is blowing in - I hope it is sunny and warm weather.

Your photos are gorgeous. I am anxious to see mine as well.... I cannot wait to get my Brushwood order.

McGregor, IA(Zone 4b)

Just ordered Omoshiro from Klehm's, although it is back ordered!

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Good for you caitlin! I love Klehm's, they send great quality plants.

Lily, your Nelly is gorgeous. That is one I don't have, I think I need to rectify that.

Trenton, MI(Zone 5b)

Lily, I love your Niobe and Belle of Woking Combo!

Athens, PA

I liked the Niobe and BOW combo too..

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Okay guys, I need your help could this possibly be 'Proteous'? One that resisted the Southern's climate for not having enough 'chilling hours' for the resting season in order to make double blooms?

Kim

Looks like the singles on my proteous.
