Hi everyone! I live in zone 6A and am looking for a perennial flowering vine. We have a deck that sits about three or four feet off the ground. It has wood lattice from the ground to the deck joists, then a railing all around. I hope to find something I can plant at the bottom of the deck and have it grow up the lattice and eventually the railing too to provide some natural screening. I'm not an avid gardener so I'm not really sure what to look for. I know I prefer something that flowers but I suppose that's not absolutely necessary. Is it possible to have a vine that doesn't completely die back every winter and therefore has to grow from scratch every season? My mom grows some clematis and that's beautiful but I'm not sure if that would work. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

What kind of sun do you have most of the day?
If it's down near the ground, the deck will be covering most of it until mid-afternoon or so. The railing gets sun beginning late morning on.
