Hello im new at gardening and i am trying to grow veges in pots.At the moment i have planted carrots, tomato's,onions,and lettuce in pots is it ok to have them close together on a table in my garage or should they be far apart. and can lettuce regrow if you pick it. If so how do i do that.

Mohi, veggies require a lot of sun and warmth in order to grow and produce. I take it you are talking about growing from seed. They too need some warmth to germinate and good light as soon as the plant breaks the surface of the soil. It won't hurt to have them in one location.

As for lettuce, you snip a few leaves here and there from the plants always leaving a few to continue growing.

I seed my lettuce thickly, then as they get crowded I thin them and eat what I've pulled out. Same with spinach, I love the baby leaves.
