Well, all I can tell you is what my doctors all told me. It is definitely my inner ear. Here is a link for you.
http://www.uihealthcare.com/topics/earnosethroat/earn4451.htm

Deborah Heart and Lung Center has opened a center for Balance Control. There must be men and women who have the problem, but men are to stupid to figure out they are not just hungry or sleepy that is causing their problem. Ooops...sorry Dave.

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

lol: I thought my ringing was my blood pressure. but now that I read that it might be an inner ear issue especially because of my nerve damage in the lower spine. not that I am looking for new symptoms of things that are wrong with me.
and yes I do know when I am hungry. My tummy has the size to prove it. did 30 min on wii today its been about 6 months since I got on it. I am sooooo out of shape. but i have to start some where.

hmm lunch time and then my afternoon nap.
I just did an inventory of the stuff I have ready. i noticed the little trees I started from seed for a guy in texas have sprouted. He wanted Royal Paulowinia or royal emperess tree. I thought I lost them. I just hope i can get everything sold soon. need the money... and who doesn't need more money?

well tally hoe

mulege, Mexico

JB, more snow? No fair. Wish you could hop down here for a few warm, sunny days.

I do think spring is coming your way as there seem to be a lot fewer birds today. I think some of them are headed north.

I just had a happy garden surprise - found twenty-five little pomegranite seedlings. Guess the birds dropped at least some of the seeds. It's also where I scattered the seeds that were left when the birds finished a pom.

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

Jeannette I pray for your sister and thank God she has you to be there for her. Cold and rainy, snowy etc. I told you guys it sucks here, hot, cold... My poor seedlings are in mourning. Jeannettes monster started to weep outside and the smaller one got all droopy and so I took off all the leaves and we shall try to leaf out again, the other is doing fine. A little worse for wear.

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

The snow is gone, now it is in the 20's and windy. Sun is shining but it is sooooo cold.
Have orders to fill and things to do, but I wanted to say Hi to everyone and Jen, I do hope your sister is healing and feels less discomfort.

Dave, your little hostas are out in this cold. I did not know it was going to go below freezing yesterday and it did and I am so worried about them.

Everyone is quiet so I assume they are all busy and planting stuff. Will be back soon. JB

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Morning everyone:

JB: where do you have them? are they planted in the ground???? If they are in the ground they should be ok. we get the same thing on occassion and they seem to adapt quite well. Like you I had thought the worst was done and gone. Please let me know how they hold up.
at the moment all mine are leafing out and it sounded like we would be flirting with freezing temps but its just been into the upper 30;s and low 40's at night. they all seem to be doing well with out any protection.

Dawn why was the monster droopy???? I know I have seen a small amount of droop but that was needing water. Mine are still in the plant room in the garage and have been lonely but fine. I almost pulled it outside the other day but I am glad I didn't. I would have been Scrambleing to cover everyone.
I am curious why you removed the leaves? were they all crumpled up and dry??

not much to add
Dave

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Hi Dave, just came in from re-potting every one of the Aimee cuttings that were worth saving. I still have quite a few and have already started to make "standards" out of some of them. They all had great roots............very white in color but healthy and strong. They were wet on the bottom so I removed a lot of the old medium and put them all in some miracle grow potting soil. You are not to fertilize them at this time of year so I hope there is not too much fertilizer in the MG. This should help. I am going to do the Jasmine after lunch.

Speaking of lunch. The funniest thing happened. I ordered a broccoli and cheese stromboli I cut them up and freeze them for lunches and a cheese steak from the Italian restaurant to be delivered today. Next thing I know there is a Chinese guy at the door with an order. Never looking, I handed him the money and took the food but I saw there was bottled soda in the box and I yelled at him and said "this was not my order" Then I realized it was chinese food.
Well, the Chinese restaurant is next door to the Italian restaurant and I thought maybe, since they both know me so well, they were playing a joke on me. Of course, the Chinese guy does not speak English, so he and I are having a problem. I grabbed my money and told him to go away. Just about that time, my guy pulls up with my order. Talk about funny. He starts to laugh when I told him what happened. He thank God, speaks English. The poor chinese guy is still looking for a place to put his order and I am sitting here stuffing my face with a Philly Cheese Steak.......Stromboli is cooling to be cut and frozen. I love Fridays when I pig out.

Well, I am just about finished stuffing and then I am going to go back to the GH and begin the Jasmine.
The house is clean, Theresa took care of that this morning.
My SIL is at an auction trying to buy a cement mixer of some kind, and my daughter is teaching a seminar on horses at Rutgers to Junior Breeders so this is a day of everyone going in different directions and hopefully we will meet up later. I will check in after I finish the Jasmine to let you know what condition those roots are in. JB

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

JB: Is your SIL making some new shoes for you to go swimming with????
Sounds like a yummy sandwhich. Poor chinease delivery guy....

Sounds great that the roots were doing well and you got to them quickly enough to avoid any permanent damage. I guess I better get the rest of my stuff on market place as i am getting orders in and boy I am so glad I do a good job because most of what I am getting is return customers.

now to get ready for plugs the 1st part of april.here is the list of what I settled on with my order. it was tough to narrow the list down to an affordable list. I wanted it all...lol ... they are all going into 3.5" pots unless they are big enough for gallons but I doubt it.
Astibe Bella mix
2. Coreopsis Rising Sun
3. Coreopsis Sunfire
4. Echinacea Pow Wow Wild Berry
5. Dianthus Dwarf Mix
6. Dianthus Indian Carpet Mix
7. Gypsophila repens ‘rosea’ - pink Baby's breath
8. Gaillardia Arizona Sun - Blanket Flower

well I will see y'all in the am
Dave

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Now JB, if that had been me, I would have dug into my purse and bought the Chinese also. I love it. More than the Stromboli.

Boy I am glad I got my Aimees before you killed them too. They are looking great.

I got a call yesterday that the cabinet we had ordered for the new TV was in, it had been out of stock when we went looking for one, so we ordered one. We went in and picked it up today and Bob is putting casters on it. It will be on the carpet so won't worry about it rolling with the TV on it.

I do have to get some seeds planted soon. I got my Dwarf Japanese Maple, Red Dragon, earlier this week and got it planted. It really looks good other than leafing out already. I would rather it didn't.

I made an appointment with my sister to go look at a house next week. I haven't told Bob we were moving. I did tell him kind of, but he thinks I will get over it I am sure.

Well, gotta go see what he is doing to the cabinet. Sounds like he is building a house.

Jeanette ~ Do you have a picture of it? Or will you when it has been set up?

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Well jnette, tell Bob Vern thought that also. When the moving van showed up he decided I was serious. So are you looking near where you live now or are you moving down the mountain.

Actually he came to one meeting with the designer and architect and found that very boring so did not come after that. Then he wanted to know why he did no get to pick out the cabinets in his "man cave". I told him that was meeting #4 that he did not attend. He was moved with both feet dragging but he now says it is the best think "We" ever did.

I supervised the landscapers at a neighbors today. The wind was howling and it was cold and cloudy. It was a mess and it took 4 guys 4 hours to clean it up. The supervisor told me they did not pay enough. I told him I worked the same with a customer whether I was making $500 or $5000. Individuals driving by do not know you are not charging enough, they just know you are doing a lousy job.

The news said tonight California broke a record for the amount of snow they have received this season. That is our friend Evelyn. She is missing just like Lee.

I just paused and drove down the street to turn off a soaking hose. Several areas were so dry it took hours for the water to even start to sink into the soil. Actually the soil was like blow sand.

Well Sarah, the GD, just got notice she got a full tuition scholarship to BYU. Her parents are dancing the big dance. She got her smarts from her Dad and her looks from her Mother.

JB, you eat everything I dream about but do not eat.

Dave you are one busy gardener. My worker will be here tomorrow and we should be able to wind it up. Then Sunday I have promised myself I will get boxes ready for Mail on Monday. I think JB's will have to wait for July.

I also have to get Vern measured. I have to get him off the couch and away from basketball in order to do it through. He has lost so much weight, he has no pants to wear that do not just hang on him.. I need to order him some new pants. He told me this morning he was waiting to get some new pants. I asked him, were you waiting to get old, because we are both there.

I sure I have been cross posted because I have been putting this message together for a least 1/2 hour. Have a great day tomorrow. Housekeepers were here today. House looks and smells good.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Told you, cross post. Where have you been Evelyn?

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

I can if you like Evelyn. I am debating now if I would rather have the feet on it than casters. The casters aren't big, but I think the feet would look nicer. I wish I had some of that double backed stuff to put on the feet that make the article glide on the floor.

Do you know what I mean? I have some but I think they are only big enough for chairs and I will have to look and see, but the feet may require bigger ones. They may even have something like that on the bottoms. Like maybe a metal? Or something. I didn't look.

But, whatever I decide I want I will have to do it before Bob threads all the wires thru the back 'cause I doubt he will redo it once he is done. LOL.

Then of course, we had to buy a new refrigerator that is due to be delivered on Tuesday. I was really disgusted there. Almost everything out there is sidexside.with icemakers on the door, and bottom freezers. Well, I want to sell this house and move and I hate to spend a lot of money on one that may not fit a kitchen where we move to.

Also, I do not like the side x sides. I had one of those when they first came out and hated it. I know they make them different now with more space on the doors and not so deep shelves, but the one I got is like that with just the standard door and top freezer. I will get some organizers (shelves) for the freezer. I saw some in a magazine the other day that made a lot of sense.

I'm telling you it is always something. Seems everything goes at once.

Yes, I know it is a bad time to sell my house, but we cannot go thru one more winter here, and I would love to move where we have some sun before I am too old to enjoy it. Spokane does have more sun than we do up here. We have so many mountains and trees. There is nothing wrong with that, but not enough sun to even ripen a tomato.

And then, of course, there is the distance to the medical facilities. That is a real problem now too. Oh well- - - -

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

We did too Sharon.

I am going to look in Spokane Sharon. Also downsize a lot. This house is too much to take care of. But, that will make more sense too due to the prices of homes these days.

Well Jnette, I feel your pain. I could not live anywhere where the driveway was slippery. I would fall down and kill myself. And I cannot stand to be cold. I would BK us just keeping the house warm. I am going to bed. Goodnight. Sharon.

mulege, Mexico

Good plam, Jen. I have eough trouble with my steep hills, couldn't do it at all with ice. I, too, do not like the cold. Grew up in northern Michigan and had enough of cold and snow there.

When our soil, such as it is, is dry - which is most of the time - it is like ice. We have made flat paths and we have posts that I can grab on to. We also have lots of rocks so I seriously do not want to fall down here.

I had a good sleep last night so I feel pretty good today. Very little pain yet. As long as I don't move much I'm fine. Reminds me of a comment Tony made about a man he used to work for. He said, "For Eddie all work is easy. All he does is point." It has become an ongoing source of humor for us.

We got two big boxes of chicken legs bagged up and in the freezer yesterday. They make cooking for the dogs mairly easy. These will hold us for a couple of weeks. I got huge bags of brown rice in Ca. So, as long as I'm alive and able to cook, the dogs will be fine. I once left a twenty pound box of frozen chicken legs where I thought they were high enough to be out of the dogs' reach. I was wrong. When I found what was left there was just enough for one dinner.

Sharon, I love your response to the supervisor. I used to have to deal with people who thought they were "better" than me because they had "higher" degrees, liscenses, etc. They would be doubly mad when I demonstrated that they didn't know what they were doing. I remember when I fired one of them via a message left with her answering service and she called my supervisor to complain about me. I had kept my supervisor informed every step of the way so my supervisor was able to ask her the right questions about what she had/had not done. One of the more satisfying moments of my career. The thereapist later told another foster mother that she had been "conned" by the client but she never called me again. Meanwhile, three teenagers were in Texas having the same problems with their "natural" mother.

Why I love my garden and my dogs.

hugs, katie

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Hello gang!

Today the temperature is 50 degrees LOWER than it was last week. It is now back down to 28 deg. I am ready for the white jacket with buckles. My truck would not start and I had to have Rob jump it. I did not walk the dog because it was too cold, and I am now sitting here drinking coffee (no brandy in it) and eating pancakes. If this weather does not soon warm up I will weigh a ton.

All the orders that were going to go out Monday, now will be postponed until April 4th.
What else can I do? I transplanted every jasmine cutting , trimmed and transplanted all the Aimee cuttings to make as many "standards" as possible. Re potted all the christmas cactus and today I will finish up. The sun had the GH temp up to 102 already this a.m. and I had to open the vents. The wind is sooooo cold I am afraid the cuttings will get cold and the little leaves will turn brown. Why I continue to do this is beyond me. I could just sit and knit and enjoy aging quietly without moaning about weather etc.

My dear friend, who does not trust me now, (this is the one who has terminal lung CA ) called me yesterday and told me she is going to get out of the nursing home by driving them crazy. She now goes outside for a SMOKE in the middle of the night and they can not find her. She said she hides from them and does everything she can to irritate them.
I personally do not think she is as crazy as they say she is. She is an eccentric old lady who just has chosen to live a different life from most of us. She is a hog, a hoarder and a real trooper. She can run a back hoe better than any man I know and rides a mean horse in her day. She said they are about to throw her out. It makes me so sad she is still being such a problem, but this is just the way she is. My heart is breaking and I think I may just try and get her out of there and home with someone to look after her.

Gotta go, GH is calling. JB

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

JB, that is pathetic. All she wants is to be out in a place of her own. I don't even know if she would allow anyone to live with her to help her. Lord I hope I am never stuck in a place like that. It sounds like she is smoking just to end it sooner. Poor thing.

What makes anyone think she is crazy? It is either the above, or she wants attention so bad.

Now you quit your complaining about the weather. We are finally getting a day next week above 50, and a couple of nights in the 40s!! So, I want you to knock it off. Put on another jacket if you are cold. Or go sit in that nice warm greenhouse and knit. If it is too hot in there, open a vent or a door.

We gotta go get some meds for the dog this morning. Then, I hope to get some seeds planted.

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Pay attention to your Aimee woman.....give it a smile and sing it a song. It loves Country Music.

The friend is as I said just an eccentric old lady who does not know the meaning of the word cooperation. She will not listen to anyone except me, when she feels like it. She cried to me this morning and that does not upset me because she turns that on and off with no problem. She is a very good actor and she told the Dr. who came to see if she was mental that they were stupid and she knew more about psychiatry than they do. I think that is why they think she is crazy. But that is just her. LOL I told her you just do not tell doctors they are stupid a- holes. And she did. LOL What can I say, I have strange friends. HMMMM. JB

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Morning all:
yes JB put another coat on to stay warm...you know which one to use ...the one with the long sleeves and buckels in the back. and don't forget the padded room to relax in also....

Well its a real bummer of a day today. its cold and dreary so I am going to stay in side for the day except for the quick run to close the GH up and the run to get my meds from the phamacy. not much going on here...getting ready for monday's out bound plants. Looks like 3 orders for monday so far... of course thats as long as the last one pays in time to get the same week shipping.

JB: Does your friend have family to go live with? if not then she better watch out because if she gets the rep as a trouble amker in the nursing facilities she may find herself out on the street. washing windshields for extra cash....

well its nap thirty and a good day to curl up as the pain is kickin pretty hard today.

later gators
D

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Back from working in the GH. Geez I am tired. I do too much at one time.

I did however make a decision that I think will pay off in the end. I am not going to sell the Aimees at the Farmers Market. Why? Because they are not ready as Standards and they look stupid as regular plants. While getting them ready to go, I kept thinking, no one looking for Easter Flowers will look at these as a plant to buy. These are for people who want to grow and propagate Aimees, and who understand what a standard is and how much work it is to get them to be a standard. So, I am keeping those 13 little suckers and I am going to keep working with them and maybe put them up on DG and ship without pots and the minimum amount of soil, and see what happens.
I just need to keep in mind I must find the proper box to put them in. At this time they are
about 18 inches tall. I can work with that with a little bending. They are not brittle and will bend somewhat.

So, I spent the morning getting the old truck out, washing it, putting air in the tires and charging the battery, now I am not going to need it to transport the plants. LOL Oh well, it needed it. In fact I had to jump start the old sucker to get it going to even give it a bath.
Talk about old, that truck and I have both seen better days.

I am in charge of feeding the dogs, the kids are both at the seminar at Rutgers closing down the displays, etc. so I am going to walk Barney and then sit on my butt.

The greenhouse looks great. I am getting it all cleaned up and the things I re potted yesterday are looking better already. There is a God!

Have a good night you dear sweet people. Yes Dave, I ordered that jacket on Facebook from a friend of mine. The snow is due tomorrow, starting tonight. Can you freakin believe it? Nite Nite!

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Sure I believe it. We had a skiff of snow this morning when I got up and suppose to start about 5 o'clock today.

It was a beautiful day tho, but cold. Yes, colder than yours JB.

I have Bob changing the feet on the TV cabinet again. When he gets that down pat then he can put the TV on it 2 or 3 times. LOL

I took a picture of the cabinet for you Evelyn, and then I will with the TV on it. It looks nice, but, I think I want the wall a different color. Yup, just painted it. Also gotta move my picture.

I'm glad you are keeping those Aimees. Make a lot of standards and then you can sell those at a higher price. Just don't get them so big they are difficult to mail.

Well, now he pulled the wires off the TV. I took a picture of the back of the box so he would know which wires went where, but not the TV. That isn't what he said. Now he asks if I did. LOL, hope he doesn't blow it up.

Well, think I will go in the other room in case the lightning bolts shoot this way.

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Well, everyone, where in the heck is SPRING?? We still have snow on the ground and now I will be in line for one of those "special" jackets. I have a lot of work to do outside and I can do nothing in the snow and mud! So, I have been sowing seeds. It's a good thing I have sown some outdoors on the back porch, as I am running out of room inside under lights. Outside some calendulas, baptisia and some lupines have germinated...(no soaking or nicking...LOL!) They were in those awful peat pots...but I thought I had better put that kind of seed in there, as those pots get too wet, I took the top off as well.

Oh, Jeanette, did I tell you we got a decorator and we now actually have a new living room, not just drapes. We are waiting for the rug samples and when the rug is down it will be complete. Steve painted the wall where the TV is and we got a new console as well. I will take a picture, once I find my camera. Since we have a small living room, we did not get a huge TV, it is the one we got a while back. Our (fairly) new fridge is a Kenmore and the freezer compartment is on the bottom, as our kitchen is quite small, so a side-by-side would not work at all.

Ok, no more news except we still miss our kitty. I suppose that is not news since she was with us for 20 years. I think we need a dog to keep the deer away, but Steve is not ready for another pet at this time. A dog that lives outdoors in a dog house. Would that be cruel?

Gotta' go now...hugs to all

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

I had the plants outside in the rain and they got so soaked from an inch and a half rain in a day, which is a lot when it is freezing. So I brought them into dry off because it just got to cold and wet I guess. They were not going to make it with those leaves all dieing. They are both fine now. I am visiting my house for a few hours. My dd is in Vegas and has not taken a trip in 2 1/2 yrs. since Baily was born, so I have been babysitting through part of tomorrw. I wanted to come over for a few hours to watch the finally of Pit boss with h and eat dinner with him. So I will talk at ya later.

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Would love to see the outcome Evelyn. I am attaching a picture of the cabinet we got for the TV. I didn't take one with the TV on it because my plant light was causing a bright glare right in the middle of the picture.

We got a Kenmore too. They are made by LG. I do like the LG phones, so I am sure the refers will be good too. I would have liked to have the bottom freezer also, but I really did not want to spend that much money right now. But that's ok, it will only last me another 25 years. LOL

I haven't even put any seeds in yet other than catnip for the cat. And then I was afraid to let her have it since I thought she might pull it out by the roots and then my sister told me she should have gotten it when it was fresh up. Out of the soil. Oh well. Hopefully she will like it this way.

Here is my cabinet. Kind of crowded 'cause Bob was just finishing up with the feet.

Thumbnail by Jnette
Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

And Dave, here is my Japanese Maple tree that I held over the winter. See the pipe insulation I had around the trunk? And the wall insulation I had fastened around the barrel with a bungee cord. I had the insulation encased in visquene.

Evelyn, I forgot to tell you the cabinet is Oak.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

i worked myself to the limit today. I just about fell because I was so tired. I am just so stubborn. I quit when I am done, not when I am tired. I need a head doctor. I will post tomorrow. Me and my worker got a bunch of work done today. I am doing mailing labels tomorrow and boxes on Monday. I have to get this off my " back of the head" list.

Have a great day and I will check in mid afternoon. I do not garden on Sundays, a promise I made to Vern a long time go, so I will be going mad because of "March Madness" with nothing to do. Maybe measuring him for new pants will bring up an interesting conversation. LOL.....:. I am so bad. Love you all..

I am actually getting worried about Lee. Lee if you are lurking, speak up.

JB, the way it looks, you will be getting rain, snow and freezing temperatures in July. What are your two days of summer? When I get to be 86, I really do not care about anything except where is my food. You are a trooper and still going for it. Whatever, "it" is.

I think Jnette will recognize that question....Love you Jnette.
Sharon.
Sharon.

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

I will send Lee an email and see if I can wake her up.

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

If anyone can wake her up Jen can. She can wake the dead.

It is 29 deg. here today, very windy and cold and the sun is trying to come out. The snow missed us with just a few flurries during the night. It is south of us. My poor friends in the south are suffering big time.
I watched Mass at 5:30 this morning and I am so glad I did, I was going to go to Mass today, but I am so tired I can barely put one foot in front of the other. So at least I had my church without having to go to town.

Then Barney decided to have one of his "sick" spells this morning and so I am just going to do some work on the computer and pray I get some energy to work in the GH this afternoon. I must get that stuff transplanted. When i was stressed, I did not do a darn thing and it is pathetic the condition of the GH got because I was so self absorbed. I hate myself when I do that.

I found some boxes on uline for a about $1 each that will work to ship the "Standard " 2 yr. old Aimees in, so I am going to order them, and pray it works, then put them up on ebay and DG. I must have my supplies first because they will sell I am sure.

Hope you are all o.k. I do wonder if Lee is o.k. Sharon, Ev, Jen you are all so busy with your houses. I miss my house and the space, but I love the light and lack of ticks from the woods. My former house is still empty. The people who bought it sold it two years later and those buyers must have foreclosed because it has been empty for months. So sad, all the work I put into it including the Terminix ground thing for termites, that was $2600. plus a monthly payment. It did work, but it was too expensive.

Dave, I took the little hosta in to the greenhouse. I was afraid in pots they may not make it. oh, and that crazy willow thing I started from a cutting is starting to get leaves, so it made it through the winter sitting in its pot behind the AC out on the East side of the house. I am thrilled.

Enough chatter. Will be back later. JB

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Hey!! Quit feeling sorry for yourself and get out there and take care of those plants. You know, Barney is getting his signals from you. He may not be sick at all, but takes on your condition. So suck it up and get busy.

Let me know when you put them on ebay. I want to watch them.

I wrote to Lee, but no response yet. Will let you all know.

I worked with a fellow once from NY and he could not believe I had lost an entire closet wall to termites. His take on it was that with all the trees we have in the west we should not have termites in our houses. They should be in the trees instead. Dumb easterners anyway. mumble.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Jnette, we do not have termites in houses here but they have been found in wood piled next to homes. VA requires a termite inspection on every home. Only ocassionaly would we find termites but mold is the big problem here in Nevada. Go figure, no humidity but black mold loves the desert. All homes are now required to be inspected for black mold. A few years before I retired an escrow canceled because the house had so much mold it was not feasible to get rid of it. The owner, an appraiser, wanted another report. I told him no way and he tried it through another mortgage but the State keeps track of all mold inspections and stopped the new one. "Buyer Beware".

March is a hard month for me because that is the month I rehab from the winter. I spent the majority of yesterday removing large clumps of clover in my dicondra. I have clover and dicondra in the lower part of the small front lawn and above the very large pieces of slate, that I use as stepping stones, I have dicondra only. Well I was suppose to be working on the baskets and kept telling myself that but my OCC, ADHD was in control. I spent about 4 hours but oh my does it look better. The area currently is looking very clean but bare. I took apart each clump of clover and separated out the dicondra and then transplanted the dicondra back. I got one basket about 3/4 finished, which is a very large one I purchased from Kinsman years ago. I suddenly just about fell and I knew the reason being I was very tired. My worker was in the back West landscape installing root barriers. This next week I will replant the cannas. They are so invasive, they crowed out my daylilies and irises. I have another area of irises and daylilies. That is a good thing because these are getting replanted very late. They are alive but probably will not bloom this year.

The attached photo is from the emporium at the Belliago. A friend went there last week. Now it is on my list. They change it completely out every 3 months. They throw everything away. They used to give it away but the local nurseries complained. The have their own greenhouses. I actually thought about going to work there when i retired but then I found out the gardening staff works from midnight until 7am. Not my style.

When I go down I will find out what plants are used. And I will take more photos. Like the Rose Bowl Parade, everything is made from plant materials. Painter's pallet is probably seeds. Enjoy. Sharon.

good evening all
good news we went and got a new car this weekend. ford fusion grey nice car and better milage than our explorer. Other than that I don't have much to say. Its cold and wet so outside play has been ground to a hault. I do have 3 orders to get out.
good idea JB on the standards they are cool if you take the time to make one. I have a boxwood cutting I am going to do like that also. I set it to the side so it wont get moved out and away as I am shifting gears for what I am doing here. majnly the faster crops but i am also switching to a named variety of boxwood "wintergreen'

In the trade a lot of the folks are real sticklers for a name on certain plants and I don't know the name of the variety I had been selling so last spring i bought in 10 wintergreen boxwood to use for cutting stock. I also have a group of evergreens i need to move out because I changed my mind on growing them. they get too big to handle and I need to keep everyone small. Anyone interested in the evergreens please let me know as they should still be able to reduce the root ball enough to ship afordably.

anyhoo have a great night
Dave

Ok, you guys and JB, Listen up. JB, wake up! I did hear from Lee. She is ok and will get to us soon. Ok JB, you can go back to sleep.

Sharon, that is weird. We were just talking about that black mold today at my sisters. She sells real estate and my niece was there and was saying her grand kids are so sick all the time, and they are just little guys and using inhalers. My sister told them to look for that black mold and other mold.

That is strange to have it in Nevada so bad when, like you said, no humidity. I think you just automatically think moisture. You need to take it easy a bit Sharon. That is not good to overdo it. I don't know what your hurry is, it isn't going anywhere. I suppose it will be too hot soon to do that kind of work out there tho?

Dave, I didn't know you were in the market for a new car. Isn't the fusion a small car? Was the reason for going small the gas? That is a good reason. Our Senator is pushing the FTC to go after the sellers who gouge us on the price of gas. In our little town here it is $3.88. My sister said it was $4 in California and $4.50 in AZ. Or vice versa. Not sure.

Well young lady Jnette, the rush is the heat and I am screwed. It is going to be in the 80s by mid week and then higher 80s by the end of the week. Suppose to cool off the next week. Four years ago we were 100 degrees in April.

I took the day off and did just about nothing. And I had a martini last night. Actually, not, I had vodka on the rocks. I enjoyed it. Vern made me a second one and I said, "Are you kidding"? And I went to bed at 9:30pm and did not get out of bed until 9am. I did awake at 6, 7 and 8am but I was determined not to get up early.

I did not do much today but I did some laundry. I was going to cook but Vern did not get up until 11am and I was tired so I did not cook. He was surprised and opened a can of soup. OMG, Sharon did not cook on Sunday. I am on strike. I may not cook all week. Vern has a blood test tomorrow and then he has to wear a monitor tomorrow for 24 hours because he told his cardiologist his heart beats was not high enough when he is working out. He is still competing with the 30 to 40 year old males and I want to scream. But I will not because I was raised to be a good wife and take care of your man. NOT. It is just a good thing he cannot read my mind.

I will not tell him because he is very "sensitive" to criticism. Why? Because he was the youngest, 13 years younger than his brothers and never had any criticism, ever. I was told this by his oldest brother.

Thank you all.
That was much cheaper than a doctor. Love you all. Sharon.

Hey guys, I've got a virus in my email so won't be on there if you want to contact me. It is a separate system from this. Don't know how I got it. Hope it wasn't that one you sent me Sharon. It happened right after.

g' night

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Hi everyone, cold, today, in the 20s. I am going into town and then work in the GH. We are to have snow Wed. afternoon. I can hardly wait.

Jen, my daughter had someone hack into her email and the Horse Park email and they are sending out viagra ad under her email and the Horse Park email addresses. HA!
Are you sure you have a virus, don't you have McAffee or one of the other virus systems? I have two on my machine because I get so many emails. They knock them out before they get in. I think that is why I do not get some emails that people say they sent.

Take it easy everyone, Sharon....vodka, ugh, .....I had a horse that I named "Nobody Knows Vodka" because one day I was at a horse sale and drinking vodka and bought the horse. Kept it a secret from my husband until one Sunday morning he was reading the local paper and saw a picture of our daughter on "Vodka" , they won the championship at a local show and some stupid photographer sent the photo to the local paper. It said my daughter's name, and that she was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. J.W. Beyer. I was screwed. Needless to say breakfast that day was rather cold and silent. LOL I was always doing stuff like that and he would get furious...........good for his heart.
He was a criminal trial lawyer and they think they know everything. I knew better. HA! I kept him on his toes.

So there is your story for the day. See you later. JB

LOL, love the store JB. Sounds like something you would do.

No, it was not a virus, just kept adding emails, including junk emails, in after I would delete them. When I finally got it shut down last night there were almost 200 emails in my inbox and at least that many in my junk file.

I don't know how it happened, but I had sent an email from my server to my daughter and told her she could take care of whatever they were doing when she got here. She thinks it is something that happened when they were implementing their new program. Whatever, I am always so afraid I am going to give someone a virus that I don't open a lot of stuff I should, but maybe I was getting careless.

Anyway, it is such a relief and I thank God every day my daughter and grandson are computer nerds. LOL I only hope when my GS finishes his college that he can get a good job. He has been working the last 3 years he has been going but that will end when he is finished. He was working for both colleges that he was attending. The first was a 2 year community college and then the last 2 years was a full 4 year college.

But, I don't know what I would do if I couldn't call on them.

I just finished updating my McAfee security and what a job. I had to get a tech involved because I had another program on the puter that was fighting with the McAfee and that is why I have been having problems. So, that is done, everything is backed up and all is well. I am virus free and hopefully this new program will keep me from being hacked into etc.

I also did not get anything done today. Was the day to deal with old cousins on phone, etc. and that takes so much time.

DG Admn heard from me again today because some of my sales that are not complete are not showing up on my home page. I have not heard from them and it has been hours. That happened the last time also. They are very slow getting back to you now. Used to be they were jumping right back with an answer. Now not. lol. No big deal, but if they are not going to be able to keep the records accurate, I am going to have to think of an alternative.

Off to grind chicken for dogs. I walked three times today and it is very cold and windy. Barney is not pooping today. What can I say? I guess he does not have to go.

Have a good evening. Hugs. JB
