Hi guys,
so this is basically my first time gardening (I've done some container gardening last year tho).
I have a few questions I was hoping you guys could offer some advice on. I've attached some pics to reference.
I'm growing some sweet corn and they're looking really good, but are they too close together? They are about 7 in apart, should I thin them? If so, is it worth trying to relocate them?
I bought a bunch of Texas sweet onions (white). As you can see they are somewhat standing up, but they are very flimsy and some "stalks" are fallen over and the tips are dried and browned a bit on some. I planted them about a month/month and a half ago. Is this normal/healthy? do the tips need to be trimmed?
I've got a little planter that I started some cucumber seeds in, they are about an inch to an inch and a half tall. How long should I wait to put them in the ground?
The three on the left have very slightly turned yellowish, is that bad?
Thanks so much in advance,
Brian

corn/onion/cucumber questions
Brian, the plants look o.k. to me. I would thin the corn to about l2 inches apart at least. You can trim the onion tops. And they all need at least 8 hrs full sun. The cucumbers can be transplanted when they have 4 leaves. And be sure to water every day, just to keep the ground moist.
Congrats on your first year of gardening, you picked some easy plants to get started with. Do not attempt to move your sweet corn; they will more than likely die. You should just use our hoe and cut out the ones that are too close together. However you should wait about 3 more weeks, this way you can see which ones are bigger and cut out the others. You onions will benefit greatly from applications of ammonium sulphate, it should be applied once every 4 weeks. Texas sweet onions take almost 4 months to mature so a smaller bag would be sufficient. Make sure you cucumber plants are getting enough sunlight. It would not hurt to move them out to the garden now. Just make sure you soil does not dry out for the first week of transplanting. Happy Gardening!
