WESTERN STATES HUMMINGBIRDS VOL. 13
http://www.komar.org/faq/travel/hummingbirds/nest/ This site was sent to me by my step daughter. I found it interesting.
Red, congratulations on the Black-chinned. Mine was supposed to be here a few days ago but I haven't seen it.
Adel, love all those photos, especially the one with the fly next to the nest, it shows how tiny that nest actually is.
I'm getting a bunch of juvenile hummers which look like they're Anna's. Here's a closeup of one-can't tell yet if it's male or female.
Luvly pics all! I'm setting up my feeder and giant red bow this weekend AND my new solar bird fountain/bath that methinks the hummers will luv (although they will be way late coming through this year as it took so long for spring to sproing). 'Here little hummers...Here little hummers..." I will pictify and post the new fountain/bath when I get it set up.
Duc, She is precious! Wonderful pics!
She's gorgeous, Duc.
They truly love that fountain, Love the drop on the bill shot. Very lovely photos Duc.
He is beautiful! How many do you normally get adel?
Sweet pics duc! We're having lots of rain here too.
pelle..............................normaly there are 6 t0 8 different hummers here. Had 6 earlier in the year, but down to 1 now. Maybe if we ever get warm weather they will show up again.
Rain, rain go away. we're having the same kind of weather. Only 1 or 2 days of sun and then rain for 4-5 days and cold.
Duc love the color of the Anna.
Oh so sweet!!!!!
Enchanting, duc.
So lovely!
Wow, great photos on this thread! We recently rebuilt our tiny waterfall/stream area, and the birds have discovered it. Here are a few pics of a hummer taking a bath that I managed to capture yesterday....
1) Arrival (I was taking pics of a fledgling chickadee, when the hummer arrived and scared it off...I wish I'd been able to capture a shot of both of them)
