'Gadget' for technophobes.
Coffee Break #56 Spring is Here!
You can tell I'm a little technologically challenged!
Not to worry, Marilyn - you're not alone!
What a great article!
:) - a guy at work picked up two of the for him and his wife a couple weeks ago - he likes it.
So they don't have to actually speak to each other now!
I'm a techno-dinosaur...please send the instructions by Pony Express, or telegraph.
I'm busy cranking up the hand-held telephone, try to get Erma, the local operator, to talk to Andy Griffith in Mayberry...
It's sad when I look at couples in a restaurant and both are on their smart phones and not talking to each other...or maybe they just don't want people to hear what they are saying????
Or maybe they're cheating on their spouses?
If I wanted to romance a man, I would use the old "Monty Python" technique: waving semaphore flags from Heathcliff's cliff.
Much more emotionally impressive than a techno-gadget made in korea 3 months ago...
I like that.
Oh boy - dentist today. He refilled the tooth in 1985. The margins are breaking down so now its time to be redone.
When he gives me that darn injection I will be lucky not to passout. If I was to assist in giving you a shot, no problem, did it for years. When it gets turned around its a whole different story!
Good luck.....just close your eyes, & think of a great song to sing in your head.....works for me....
Mpix has 15% off all prints today.
Good luck, Sherrie!
Hope it went well, Sherrie
I have had novacane every time & listen to the radio on headset so I don't have to listen to the drill!
Now you see the sissy in me - no needles! Heres a good one. He got done and I said can I ask you a question?
1. Do you still put medicine under the filling? Answer - Yes. Now it contains flouride.
2. Have you seen the new commercial for Listerine where it says it will do - Kill bacteria, take away bad breath AND restore enamel.
He said yes. I said but when enamel is gone its gone. He went on to say how it contains different things and will harden/fill the holes in your teeth. I said - holes in the tooth? He said yes, holes in the enamel he said no. I said so - it cant replace the enamel right? He said no it cant. I said then it should not say it can restore enamel.
He said - You are right.
There is no truth in advertising anymore.
Joke police were at it again, I had a post deleted...
?? Jen
I'll d-mail you Victor
Already subscribed to The iPad version of three of my photo magazines and canceled the print versions. Saves money, trees and space!
Is it more $ to do the iPad version?
No - less.
I can stream movies to the iPad directly from Netflix for no extra charge. Also, FIOS is working on a streaming tv app.
I can't read those things, I get too impatient, scrolling down and using my big fingers to nav is a pain, I just like to flip through pages and throw the magazine on the sofa when I get bored. lol!
Just got word my neighbor is going to chop down his 60' big oak tree that has giving shade to my shade garden, should be a positive effect since they'll get 6 hrs of morning sun now year round. It's a 20' x40' area and I have a row of forsythia bushes there that have been solar deprived, now they'll get full sun. - not to mention less leaves and branches to clean up! Yippee!!
It seems a lot of people are cutting down trees. Diseased or landscape reasons?
I think spring has forgotten to get here. We have snow again!
Neither, too close to his house.. about 15'. I think he's been noting the increasingly violent storms that we've been having and decided to cut it down before it ended up in his living room.
I had 2 oaks I cut down a couple of yrs ago but they were very old and diseased, I think he cut his down for safety reasons...
It's not frequent but it does happen - I've seen it snow up to the 2nd week of April around here. Looks like it's going to be one of those years. But conversely, the seasons end later as well, so spring and summer may end a month later than the calendar. - seems the 'timetable' has been moved up by one month.
Yes, but I want spring now! she said while crossing eyes and stomping right foot.....
Think of it as April showers, could be 'rain-showers' could be 'snow-showers' could be 'sleet-showers',
... 'showers' covers a lot of territory! (lol!)
WC, are you going to have to move all your plants from your shade garden?
How about jumping up & down with both feet, sometimes known as a tantrum?
(lol!)
- No Jen, they are well established, I think I may loose some Huecheras, (like Citronelle), which are light colored, but they're in the best spot for moisture where they are, I'll just have to hope they acclimate. They won't get more than the am sun so I'm hoping the cool mornings will be kind to them. I do have a micro-watering system there with sprayers and drip lines hopefully that will sustain them. ☺
water always helps.
